My Bluray player still has audio tracks playable at double speed.
I'll be honest, I'm struggling with Crusade so far. The show's premise really makes it feel like a very cheap Trek-like show, and not a very good one at that. The audio work is some of the weakest yet, with some scenes so bereft of added sound that there's nothing to be heard but the creaking and knocking of the wooden floor as the actor walks. (Now that I write that, I think maybe it's primarily the sound that makes it feel so cheap. I'm not prissy about '80s and '90s production quality in general.)
Also, I just don't understand the decision making behind those opening credits. It feels so odd, like when a TV show has the theme song replaced to save money. And the typeface choice doesn't help, I just keep being reminded of the "You Wouldn't Steal a Car!" copyright ads from the '90s.
I'll stick with it, but I hope it gets better. Even just a little bit.

That would certainly explain it.
B5 itself also suffered sometimes from an anemic soundscape, especially in Zocalo scenes and stuff set on the White Star bridge/s, (no added "life", just the creaky shuffles of all the extras trying to be as quiet as possible) but it was never this weak.

As I recall, it was from a TV Guide photoshoot, not long after the show's eleventh-hour renewal at TNT came through, so extremely late in the production of season 4.
I hadn't ever thought about it, but Doyle's in his AoL uniform. This is probably the only time he and Conway were wearing them at the same time.

Gods, I haven't seen either of those photos in years. Both bring such a smile on my face.
Watched Learning Curve from season 5 yesterday.
1. The one who got beat up, should be kicked out of the Rangers for losing a fight against a tiny hoggle of humans.
2. The other one who thought he was too cool for school and let his friend get his ass kicked, should get kicked out of the Rangers, for being an asshole.
3. ISA Law enforcement are allowed PPGs on B5, just the same as Bester's Psi Corps Bloodhounds . Did the acolytes have PPGs, and just decided to use pykes?
4. Wouldn't a list of Sheridan's wives be in Sheridan's official file?
5. If a million people need to see one flower, to save a billion people from misery and death, they are all assholes, and the universe is better off without any of them.
6. D'Lenn wants a sexy young kid with too many abs to be her house boy, even as her geriatric alien husband is falling apart, and already died once. So sus. Do we really trust her to wait 20 years? Did Lennier know that Shieridan's has a hard out at 60? Wait it out dude. The only problem (for Lennier) with waiting for Sherdian to go beyond the rim, is that you can't have babies with the woman you love... And you may have to raise Sheridan's children, but she's going to be in her natural prime until her 80s, and alone, and sad, and looking for a friend. You blew it dude.
