Yes, that episode is rather dull, which is crazy since Bester is the favorite recurring character of most of the fanbase. Thankfully, that's the last of the lower quality stuff. The rest of season is great from there on out.

Bester was one of my favorite recurring characters too so having his last episode being one of the worst episodes of the series was very sad. Hate to remember him not as the interesting and cool character he was all series.

Ragged Edge was experimental? Interesting because one thing I was thinking about was when was the last time they went to an alien planet and running through the streets like that. Yeah they went to Narn, Centauri, and Minbar, but those were in high security places or a cave. This one felt different, and it was actually a breath of fresh air, as you say.

I just wanted to give my feedback on Deconstruction of falling stars

I see most here weren't wowed by it, but for me, I really really really enjoyed it. I like scifi shows that do an episode showing the far far future to show us how it all turns out in the end. I also like the idea (which Doctor Who has used quite a bit too) about how planet wide civilizations can rise in power and technology and then fall back to primitive times, only to rise again, a big cycle. I loved how we went from very technologically advanced (holo rooms and all) then falling all the way back to medieval times type of living, all along while the rangers were watching over us, guiding us. Then we rose back to power, and technology and finally ascended into non-corporeal beings just like the Vorlons, in our own encounter suites and all. To me, all of that is awesome. It shows that even though things are what they are now, in time, we will take our place among the first ones.

I just wanted to give my feedback on Deconstruction of falling stars

Honestly, I liked Deconstruction a lot more the second time around, but I still found it frustrating because now I want to know more about the future, particularly The Great Burn (or whatever it was called).

Garibaldi's drinking: I was under the impression when he started, that he thought alchohol was a way to dull Bester's "Asomiv" block. So that if he confronted Bester while drunk, he'd be able to kill the bastard.

That's exactly what I thought as well. I was thinking that Garibaldi thought that he could defeat Bester's mental block by drinking, which was tragic, because returning to the bottle would likely destroy him.

Meditations on the Abyss

Better episode than the Corps one. At least I didn't fall asleep. Good stuff with Lennier and loved the stuff with Vir. Loved the scene where he went to get the sword and then went ape crazy on the drazi. The most interesting part of the episode though was the last 5 minutes. Londo not knowing about the talks, and Garibaldi sinking even lower into alcohol abuse. That's not good.

A little more on the Abyss episode since I was in a rush. I'm glad the storyline I said wasn't that big before is getting bigger. Seems to be a bit of a distrust in the alliance now and that is making things interesting, even if it's mainly the Drazi doing all the distrusting. It's kind of funny this season the Drazi have been painted in a bit of a negative light. I mean they are responsible for sending ships to attack and peaceful alien culture (Paragon of Animals) and now they are the ones who are impatient becuase of the attacks on the supply ships. Coupled that with an episode in Season 4 where the Drazi ambassador had no idea what was going on and got tricked into allowing the White Stars to patrol the border without really knowing he got tricked, and that race has had a bad year I'm thinking. Now that this story is really picking up steam, and it seems to focus on Centauri Prime, I'm interested to see where it goes, given no one really knows about what is going on on Centauri anyway.

The Drazi have always been the violent hotheads of the League. Even in "TKO" in S1 there are Drazi in the Mutai fighting ring. And of course their ritual in "Geometry of Shadows"! I love the Drazi, definitely the most entertaining of the smaller races.

Darkness Ascending

Thank you god, finally there is an episode I can absolutely love. Yeah we've had "Very Long Night of Londo Mollari" and "Strange Relations" but the rest have either been average or not up to par with what I've seen with Babylon 5. Well, this episode just rose the stakes. They've got proof to implicate the Centauri, and finally this season can get good. Loved the stuff with Lennier, Garibaldi and Lise going to that Restaurant (Garibaldi still is an alcoholic), and the stuff with Sheridan and Delenn. That scene where Sheridan was trying to be mad but couldn't was hilarious. Then the ending with "By this time tomorrow, we're going to be at war with the Centauri" and finally, we've got an episode in Season 5 that I can say ok, shit hit the fan, what happens now.

And All My Dreams, Torn Asunder

First off, I love that title. Goes really well with what this episode was. Secondly, damn that was good. Tension being raised, both on Babylon 5 and Centauri Prime, and this is just getting really really good. Loved the scenes with G'Kar and Mollari (Them both getting arrested ) and I was thinking about what these two characters have gone through, especially Mollari. Here is a man who once stood high above a planet watching it being destroyed, and you could see the Monster he became. Flash Forward 3 years and I feel really bad for the guy. The minister title means nothing, and he's being used as a pawn by his own government, and someone else because of the Keeper on the Regent and that weird looking guy from a few episodes back.

On B5, things have gone from bad to worse. The Alliance is falling apart, and Sheridan's "release" was probably Boxlietner's best acting job this entire season. There are some scenes in this show where I expect someone to say "You want the truth, you can't handle the Truth" because there are some lines that sound exactly like that both in lines and tone. It's actually kind of amusing, on a sidenote level of course. As for the end with Delenn talking about the Candle representing life, I found that to be a beautiful, and very sad ending. Still, I'm loving the turnaround this season has been doing. Why couldn't we get this stuff earlier.

Yeah, the end of Season 5 is fucking awesome. The first half should just be erased.

I also really like that episode title. And I think the Regent is a pretty neat character. Too bad he's got the Keeper.

Yeah, agreed on the latter half rocking the house! I recommend blitzing the last main episodes after "Movements of Shadow and Fire" but waiting a day to let everything sink in before hitting play on the series finale.

So a third party is orchestrating the war, and now the Drazi and Narn ships are attacking Centauri Prime. I'm really not sure there is more to be said about this episode than that, so onto the next one.
