Babylon 5 - Crusade: Favorite Season

What is your favorite Babylon 5 - Crusade Season?

Had "Crusade" gone past the initial 13 episodes, it could very well have turned into another great series like B5. Unfortunately with TNT changing their minds and then changing the uniforms half-way through and what not, we got quite the continuity twist in Crusade.

Hopefully if Warner's ever puts up the money to give the entire B5 series a proper HD remastering, they'll include Crusade in the remastering project, along with the movies.

Season 3 was probably my favorite, in terms of having a lot of good solid episodes and payoffs for stuff that has been building up since S1 and Z'ha'Dum was simply one of the best season finales on TV ever

Season 3, but I also really liked Season 4 and 2. Season 5 gets a bad rap but the Centuri storyline was really well done and Season 1 is just there. Many good episodes, but it was a series that was trying to find it's footing. Loved the season finale though.

I just finished Season 5, and you the Telepath arc was pretty forgettable, but then the Centauri arc really brought it back up to where Season 2 was at when it ended, introducing a new story arc for the new series with the Drakh.

I thought the thread title meant "what was your favorite season of Crusade?"

And I was gonna be like, "half of season one I guess."

I have to admit, I thought the exact same thing. I was really hoping to open the thread and see a poll with one option, 'cause that would've been hilarious.

Season 3 and Season 4 battled it out, but the "Messages from Earth," "Point of No Return" & "Severed Dreams" group of episodes combined with the "War Without End" Two Parter win it for Season 3.

+1

Which reminds me to get out the season 3-DVD again one of these days...

In the end..... season 3 probably wins. But it's a close tie between 3 and 4. In fact, I'd rank them equal overall, but series 3 has one or two eps that really make it.

With Season 1, sure it was very episodic when compared to the other Season's, but it still allowed us as a viewer to get to know the individual characters before they got thrown into the larger stories, so it helped us to have that emotional connection with the characters before we found out their ultimate destinies.

Of course, with Season 1 on DVD, I really wish that Warner Brothers had allowed the DVD team to redo the special effects on the Soul Hunters episode. Out of all the episodes, that one probably has the worst converted shot, since when Sinclair confronts the Soul Hunter and turns the cannon thing on him, Sinclair stands up and his head gets cut off at the bottom of his eye sockets. I haven't seen the original 4:3 version in years, but I think in the original version you would've seen Sinclair from his hair to his knees (he's standing behind the cannon in the shot, so you can't see his feet). But it would've been nice had even just that one shot been redone for the widescreen DVD.
