Baby-Damar

Guess then they must come from somewhere where it is especially bright, so that they need such prominent ridges to shade their eyes better.

Gul Re'jal...I suspect the mix of Cardassian and Bajoran features varies.

Oh, that's possible. Enough to look at our own interracial children, some take more from one race, some from other.

I also have an impression that shapes of ridges are inherited. They are in Klingons, and I think those few children we've seen with parents confirm that theory. Rugal's ridges were quite similar to Kotan's. There were differences, but, unlike Ziyal, Rugal's mother gave him some of her shapes.

Ok, TerokNor, good luck for your exams and after that we await teenage Damar

Teenage Damar I just cannot get right :(
Thats the best...after a fight... but he looks quite old, doesnt he? I wanted him to look like 16. And as he seems quite aggressive on DS9, I thought as a teen he might not be less aggressive, but maybe even still more uncontrolled. And he didn´t make it on some nice Galor, but only on the Groumall, even he was a capabel one..so maybe it was his attitute that stodd in the way. What do you think?
Oh and I had no small brush at hand, so had to use my little finger for painting... *L* thats why the lines look so untidy.

P.S. And thanks for the good luck Gul Re´jal. :) The examination was ok..I guess...have to wait now till the grades come out. Tomorrow is the next examination....group examination... we are 5 and I hope no one of us messes it up, cause we get only one grade for all, so when one messes up, it pulls down the other 4 as well. :-/

Owwww, seems like his after a fight and someone punched his nose

He surly punched back. ;) Or maybe he is in military basic training...I´d imagine that would be quite hard and maybe also bloody sometimes. Or?

TerokNor

Maybe so *L* you think he was a Ladies man, or how to call that, as a teen? For Dukat I could imagine so, but Damar?
Could Cardassian Teenagers be as "crazy" as human ones anyway? Well probably not, but somewhat in similar ways, when it comes to girls, Kanar? Or would they be very very controlled by the Order and mostly really disziplined themself anyway?

TerokNor

Their conditioning and schooling might try to damp their hormones, but "try" is the key word ;)

Damar was ladies' man later, so I suppose it was always his characteristic. And... fighting over a girl doesn't mean one actually is a ladies' man, he might like just this paticular girl.

True true. Though I guess they would be not as extreme as human teens, cause they would be scared of the Order.

Here got another one. On this picture you see Corat and Nijala Damar. Nijala is his twin-sister. They are about 9 years old and seeing each other again, after C.Damar got send away a few month ago, while Nijala stayed with their father. Nijala is visiting him at the boarding-school he has to stay at. :)

I like the use of color here...and I have to say, it's especially impressive considering you were using paints. I don't think I'd ever be able to control paint--pencil is challenging enough!

I can definitely see the similarity in features...they definitely look like brother and sister.

Thats good to know that they do look like siblings. Do they also look like twins, or does she looks too old? Well but than, humans girls often mature a bit more quickly than human boys..so maybe that could be an universe wide rule?

Oh and its not paint, as in..well paint, its Aquarell colours. So I can use a pencil first and than later on go over it with water (either using my finger or in the one with the siblings I managed to find me a small brush (when thats the right word).
But now my black Auqarell pencil has gone really short... :-/ wanted to buy a new one, but I can only get a complete box...but I do not need a complete box, cause the others are still fine, only the black one comes to an end.

So and nooowww... off to the lake for a cooling bath. Hmm..I think I may take pen and paper with me, should I get in the mood to finally start writing that story about Damars childhood and family.

For those comparing Cardie/Bajoran hybrids, remma how different B'Ellana and K'ehleyr looked. B'ellana looked more human while K'ehleyr looked very Klingon.

Good point. The only un-Klingon characteristics of K'Ehleyr (that I noticed) were her even, smooth teeth :) Torres had the forehead and the temper (while K'Ehler had more -human-like personality), but I suppose it's the temper that makes a Klingon more than anything else ;)

I didn't even think of that...good example! But yes, that's exactly what I'm trying to suggest.
