AWESOME Buffy/Angel trailers

Some of these have been posted before, but the guy behind them has now added new ones for Buffy Season 5 and Angel Season 2.
Basically they're fan made trailers for the individual seasons of said shows, done a typical movie trailer style. And they're fucking awesome!

Here's the list and links, the guys outdone himself with the latest ones I have to say :techman:
Buffy Season 1

Buffy Season 2

Buffy Season 3

Buffy Season 4

Buffy Season 5

Angel Season 1

Angel Season 2

There's also another one I found (by a different user) of the whole of Buffy in general which again is among the best of its kind on Youtube IMO. Excellent work
Buffy- Final Hour

Watching these really remind me why I used to love these shows so much.
(Love those shots of Buffy fighting Adam, and the Knights of Byzantium on the trailer roof)

Okay, I've only watched the first one so far, and all I have to say is: I want to see that movie!

As someone who used to be a video editor, I can say, that guy has some real editing skill. There are a lot of smart little touches. the details and timing are everything in editing. I only watched a few, but Angel S2 is particularly well done.

Those are fan-flippin'-tastic. I'd already seen the trailers for Buffy Seasons One through Three, but Buffy Four and Five and the first two seasons of Angel were new to me. I'm actually very interested in seeing what they do with Seasons Six and Seven.

I've seen two or three of the TBVS ones before, back when they were new. Only things I hate about these: the terrible generic trailer music used in them, typically rock based. There's so many inspiration scores cues from various films -- even the series themselves -- that could have been used.

As someone who is currently a video editor, these are great but as said before structurally repetitive. But most trailers are. I guess you can only do so much. It's also kind of weird to watch these, knowing the context of each season, haha still good stuff

I've seen some of them before. They're great. I don't want to watch them all because I'm doing my first tour of the Bufffy and Angel universe since the shows ended and I don't want to be re-spoiled! My only criticism is that they're a bit long for trailers and I feel that makes them not very pithy, which is how I find a trailer works best.

I don't like the S6 trailer...it didn't even include Warren shooting Buffy & Killing Tara...which is what it should have started with then go into the beginning it went in to. JMO.

That S5 one is still the best...I love it. :)

I disagree. It's a trailer, not a synopsis. It's not supposed to give everything away. Actually, I think the trailer's better off not featuring the Trio at all. If only the actual season could have done the same...

I wasn't suggestion it be a "synopsis"...just a touch I would have liked...to be honest there is alot in that trailer that doesn't need to be shown about "dark Willow" But whatever.

My complaint about these trailers is exactly the opposite... They're all very exciting, but they could never work as real trailers, because they spoil way too much. Season 2 trailer spoils the entire season including the finale, and it's similar with season 3. Season 4 and 5 are a little less spoilery - at least S5 doesn't spoil Joyce's death - but they still reveal way too much. Season 6 is a bit better as it doesn't spoil Tara's death and Trio's antics, but it still reveals too much about Dark Willow and Buffy/Spike.

Angel S1, on the other hand, could actually work as a trailer.

If they showed the shooting first and then the grave scene muted the dialog and add some dramatic music...it would have given a great misdirection about Buffy's death...even though anyone who has seen S5 would know that isn't what happened...someone never seeing the series would think otherwise. I never said it should be a "synopsis" I never said it should. IMO It would have been a nice touch.

[edit] It is just my opinion anyway.

Digging this thread up again to update for the newly done 2002/03 season

Buffy Season 7

Angel Season 4

As always, great work. Love the Angel one, "If it's alive, we kill it. If not, we bury it"

I'm guessing they'll be an Angel Season 5 one to come, and I hope the guy follows it up with a Firefly one and for Dollhouse s1 & 2

That Angel S4 trailer almost makes me look forward to rewatching the season... and I had to force myself to get through it the first time. :cardie:

I only watched the Angel season 1 trailer.

It was good, but no way would I show it to someone who haven't watched it before. Come on, they spoil the badass moment with the "can you fly" scene ;)
