Publiusr, what do you think about my Hypothesis for the Air India Crash based on the new data given about the Fuel Flow chip listed above?
He did get the lead, but as the copilot. And he also got a cringey love scene.George Kennedy finally got the lead as the engineer in that one.

Airport '77 is my favorite Airport movie. The odd thing was that most of the airplane scenes took place underwater instead of up in the sky. The movie featured the Boeing 747. I guess that was the plane in vogue at the time.
Watching a TV program right now about the Air India crash and they are speculating that the captain of the ill fated flight deliberately turned off the fuel switches to crash the plane.
Speculating that he was still getting over grief of a death of close family
You really need to watch something more intelligent and look at the nature of the fuel flow switches- it would be very obvious if they were deliberately turned off.
The 1970 movie Airport was based on the novel by Arthur Hailey. He wrote a number of novels about the inner workings of some business or institution, including Hotel, Wheels, and The Moneychangers.I bought an old paperback novel called THE PROVING FLIGHT which may have inspired AIRPORT.
