i bet it's like the movie Transformer toys. people heard the Aerialbots were being released in the ROTF line and assumed this meant they were in the flick. they weren't. or like toylines from the 'old' Spidey movies, there were toys for villains like Mysterio and Vulture and they didn't appear.

^ That is what I thought when I first came across the story. I believe that the "Captain America: First Avenger" toy line includes a Winter Solider figure.

I always love how people jump to conclusions about this kind of stuff. Everybody always makes a big deal out of it when the do reshoots for a movie like this, but I was under the impression that it was fairly common practice, even when they're aren't major problems.

^ Reshoots are part of a film's normal production. You're correct. They're not really a big deal.

Indeed, reshoots are often a sign of the studio's increased confidence in a movie - extra money being thrown in to boost scenes that they previously didn't want to spend the $$$ on, because they didn't think they'd get it back.

I think the "problem" is that in this world of everything being reported on the Internet, people see reports of reshoots and think the worst because before reshoots wouldn't have been reported. As such, people may not think of reshoots being common practice.
Personally, I cannot wait until we hear about any reshoots for TDKR, because the fanboys will go crazy. "Whut?! RESHOOTS? What the fuck, Nolan?!?! I hope its for Bane's voice."
