I wouldn't say the new one stinks, but I do prefer the WWII version.

I was joking. I think the new one looks good and is a solid adaptation of Cap's costume for a movie.

That first pic was a fan manip because some people are whining that the new helmet looks dorky, so they wanted to see how the new costume would look with the WW2 helmet.
Personally I like the costume. It looks like Cap will be better able to move in it than in the older, bulkier costume.

To be honest, it won't bother me either way. I know that most MCU fans are popping a chub over this guy, but after watching IM2 again, I just don't find the character that engaging. Be interesting to see just how much 'glue' Coulson adds to this film. I know that Joss loves the guy.
