Just watched Marvel's The Consultant short film...Clark Gregg is simply awesome.

    http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/08/31/watch-the-consultant-a-shield-short-film-from-marvel/

The concept art work for "Avengers" is awesome. I'm really hoping for an art book like we got for Cap and Thor (still haven't got those yet).

@timothy as I've stated before Fox owns the rights to the Fantastic Four so we won't be unfortunately seeing them. I'm kind of surprised we got the Skrulls to be honest I'd thought they'd be under the FF rights.

From what I've heard, Marvel owns the Skrulls, and Fox owns the Super-Skrull. I don't know if that's true or not, though.

^ That sounds like it would be the case. I think Marvel owns the Kree as well.

Heh. That was cool. Coulson is awesome. However, I wish that they would've used the entire end sequence from TIH. There could've only been a few seconds left.

Interesting that when Stark meets with Ross that it was...

...Blonsky that he was inquiring about, not Banner. Also funny that Stark was set up to fail. It also explains why Ross isn't in Avengers.

Indeed. Look at Andy Serkis in King Kong; he wore the mo-cap suit for Kong, then appeared as the ship's cook as well.

I hope they don't go completely motion capture CGI though. I kind of hope Joss Whedon somewhat stays with his TV production roots and goes with prosthetics like he did on Buffy and Angel. I'm sure there's a way to make them look realistic enough without looking kind of cheesy or cheap.

I'm curious about who's doing the mo-cap for Hulk; is it Ruffalo, as he hinted, or are they using a series of stunt-men?

And I'm glad that Ferrigno is getting to voice him, even though it may be only one or two lines.

ugh... i'm sick of Ferigno and the dumbed down "Hulk Smash!!!!" version of the Hulk. he should be based on the Avengers cartoon version where he isn't a total fucking imbecile

Ruffalo is doing the mocap for Hulk. I like that Ferrigno is voicing Hulk, but I really hope he has some actual dialogue this time.

They have to have Hulk call Thor "Goldilocks" at least once :D

Thought that was more of a Hawkeye thing. But on that note, Hawkeye needs to call Cap "Methuselah".

Which would also be the way the Hulk was originally portrayed. In the original Avengers #1 the Hulk was very crafty. He was not just outfighting Thor, Iron Man, and Ant Man, he was outsmarting them for much of the fight as well as well.

I dont doubt that he did. But the cartoon's Hulk is the tough guy version. But in the comics, Hawkeye ( and others ) more commonly used "clever" nicknames for their teammates: Winghead, Shellhead, Goldilocks, Highpockets. While the Hulk used more childish nicknames like bugman or birdnose. Any word if they'll be using the tough guy Hulk in the movie?

The early Hulk in his own mag and in the Avengers had a personality more like Ben Grimm (the Thing) than Lenny from Of Mice and Men. That Hulk would rather kick your ass than ask to be left alone. Thats what I mean by "tough guy".

Some folks only know a certain take on the Hulk ( or any character ). It was either explain the history or nuke from orbit. The only ways to be sure. ;)
