Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

Is anyone in the UK, actually going to call this "Marvel Avengers Assemble"? because its seems kinda dumb to me.

If we are going to go down this route, they should probably bill Chris Evans as "Chris Evans, but not the Radio 2 DJ and The One Show co-host Chris Evans, as Captain America" you know just incase already struggling with "The Avengers" think it stars Billie Piper ex and former Virgin Radio owner Chris Evans.

Is "Marvel" really part of the title? Isn't the Marvel name/logo over the name of the American version of the movie?

It does seem odd to make a different title, I suspect few would go into this expecting to see The Avengers from the British TV series given a)a shitty movie of that was already made and b)the trailers and promotional material for Avengers is vastly different than a couple boring British spies.

 When I was a kid, I had the reverse problem. I was soooo disappointed to find out that the TV show didn't have Vision.

The Japanese railer, though cool, seems a bit lacking of the Japanese cultural aspect.

You know, like Hulk getting tentacle raped by that flying serpent monster thingie.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

i shall continue to resolutely call it "Avengers" and stuff the "Avengers Assemble" BS, just as i call them "Wolverine" and "Captain America"

A Pixar Avengers movie would be awesome.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

I think there's dozens of reasons to "not do" an Avengers Pixar movie, actually...

Yeah, my sails don't exactly catch the wind at the thought of it, either. I'd be curious to see a Pixar short maybe, though.

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

I mean it'd certainly be a good idea for sure and the concept image above looks great but at this point doing it would just be retreading old ground.

A Pixar Avengers movie would be awesome.

I'd be much more interested in that than the film coming out in May, considering that just about everything I've seen from the latter has completely failed to excite me.

'And Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. No, not the same one that Daniel Day-Lewis played in Last of the Mohicans.'

Ever wanted to scroll across the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline? I know we've tossed it around in various Marvel movie threads but at this link it's all laid out.

Yeah, I saw that a few months ago, it's pretty neat. Looks like he's updated it since I last saw it. :techman:

Re: AVENGERS - movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2

Huh. So Thor and The Incredible Hulk happened at roughly the same time?

Yes, both happen around the end of "Iron Man 2" (in the film, Coulsen gets called away to collect Thor's hammer and you can see the Hulk on one of the TV screens during the last scene between Stark and Fury).

Hulk, Thor and Iron Man 2 happen at the same time by the looks of it. I thought Hulk happened a year or so prior given Selvig's remark about Banner in Thor.
