We know Ned at the very least is in the same boat as Peter, which was a sweet scene since the poor kid looked completely lost when he went back to school.

Ned Leeds.

Hobgoblin. (It was retconned years later.)

Do not trust that kids "sweetness".

Something is going to "happen" and Ned is going to be the big bad in the fourth movie.

I’m interested in seeing how the next Spider-Man handles the time jump and if any of the cast survived the snap. We know Ned at the very least is in the same boat as Peter, which was a sweet scene since the poor kid looked completely lost when he went back to school. I imagine MJ was snapped too and we’ll get a mix of old and new characters who go to school with him.
From what I recall from the SM:FFH trailer, Ned, MJ, Flash & Betty are all back and thus (assuming this is all post-snap) they were all dusted. I don't recall recognising any other students from the first movie, but I'm pretty sure there were some unfamilair faces in the group.

(emphasis mine)

No more than when they did the Hero Panning Shots in The Avengers and Age of Ultron. This time it's all women. Why is that such a problem this time around?

If I was a negative person, I would wonder if Marvel was asking to be congratulated, asking for a medal and clap on the back for being the wokest comic book movie company of them all?

I also wondered if that scene was for dummy misogynists? "Ha-ha! Tricked you! On an ordinary day you despise women and feminism, but over the years, you little dummy, we have tricked you into hero-worshiping a cluster of sheroes because your hate is weak and our characters are awesome, and women are awesome, go kill yourself."

Seriously though, we were watching, we are smart, we know that those women were there and awesome and integral, but that scene, other than to solidify that which we already know to be true, women are our equals in every way, was for 10 year olds with little imagination, and idiots who were not paying attention.

Okay so now it's five years later since the fallen left. Let's discuss the fall out/ ramification of coming back five years later or what's been going on in five years.

-Dr Strange- Well no one attacked the sanctum in five years

-Parker- picking up high school five years later. Surprisingly based on far from home none of Parker's friends were spared from the snap.

So Flash, MJ,Ned are all around the same age as Parker. Imagine if Ned wasn't apart of the snap and his personality changed

-Cassie Lang- Who took care of her? No mention of her mom and boyfriend.

-Hawkeye- Oh my god. I've been killing people for five years and now I've got to deal with the fall out after my family is back.

He just can't become the person he was five years ago. He's done unspeakable stuff while he was angry.

Those are just a few things

It's funny what breaks suspension of disbelief. I was good with it up till about the 5th appearance. Past that I started wondering about how all these heroes were available to go help Peter and Captain Marvel, and of course how unlikely it was they were ALL the female heroes present.

A more subtle way of getting the same idea across would be to pick a selection of female heroes who have some sort of team connection in the comics. Then you get the same Women to the Rescue message without breaking probability.

Personally, I took the all female hero charge as a no so subtle apology by Marvel for taking 20 movies to finally get *one* solo female hero movie.
I mean really, anyone that thinks 51% of the population getting a 5% share of representation is unrealistically high, really doesn't know how to math so good.
Who knows? Maybe it’s sufficient to have access to a tunnel machine and the original hand device. If Cap spent 75 years in an alternate timeline where Janet doesn’t get trapped and Howard doesn’t get killed, their quantum tunnel tech could be ahead of Prime’s.
No. For the third time, that's not how it works. The tunnel acts as an anchor point and navigation. If one were to travel back to one's "present" time via another quantum tunnel in the "past", it wouldn't be the same present you arrive in. Infinite realities, remember? Not so much a needle in a haystack as a needle in a galactic hypercluster full of needles. You'd never be able to find your way back without it, which was the whole point of Stark's breakthrough right at the beginning of the movie.

This was all made fairly explicit in the movie for those that paid attention.

If I hadn’t seen any of the Marvel movies, I would think this to be an overly long, eye rolling movie with tons of fan servicey moments.

But having watched the previous 21, every minute of the 181 run time seemed earned. It was funny, emotional and fun and most importantly to me, gave me a feeling of closure for the series. I likely will continue to watch the movies going forward. I’m just not going to run out to see them.

But a good way to get closure!

One of my favorite moments is when Nebula placed Stark in the seat. It demonstrated how much her character had grown in five years.
That whole sequence of them on the Benatar was a beautiful demonstration of how far she's grown. I loved it sooo much. :D

Nebula has always been one of my favorites and not just because I adore Karen Gillan. But after this film, she might very well be my favorite character of the MCU not named Spider-Man.

So people have noticed after repeat viewing that Howard the duck was in the final battle lol.

He's on the right in the back behind some people when Hope re enlarges.

One of my favorite moments is when Nebula placed Stark in the seat. It demonstrated how much her character had grown in five years.

I liked how Stark was giving her a bit of humanity by playing a game.

Whaaa...!

Damn, I'll have to keep an eye out for that when I see it again next weekend.

Quick question (and apologies, but I have not siphoned through all the pages of commentary in this thread) - how did Rocket and Thor get to Asgard in the past. I understand the movie's mechanism for time travel, but they jumped from Earth, so how did they then get to the Asgard of the past. All the others traveling off world had ships and such. Is this just an unexplained plot hole or did I miss something?

Thor drinks Irn Bru. He’s officially my favourite now. :)
It’s good movie but I’m confused with Cap’s choice on who should hold the mantle next. Wouldn’t Bucky make more sense? I have no problem with Falcon but he doesn’t feel like he could handle a movie on his own.

So is Thor going to be in Guardians 3?

I'm with you. Both Bucky and Falcon have worn the shield in the comics at various times, but from a movie perspective I'd have thought Bucky was the obvious choice. He's got the super serum, which Sam doesn't, while Sam already has the Falcon costume, which allows him to fly. Why downgrade to an earthbound, ordinary strength identity?

And we can only hope that Thor carries on into Guardians 3. His comedic sense will fit in well with the Guardians. I can't imagine any other reason for setting him up with them if he's not going to appear in the movie.

Should we be worried about the fact that people seem to like this Captain Marvel more than the one in her own movie?
My 9yo daughter was disappointed with Captain Marvel in this movie. Well with her haircut anyway. She absolutely hated it. She liked the longer hair from her own movie better. The trip home from the cinema was a combination of excited comments about the movie from my sons and complaints from my daughter about Captain Marvel's hair.
