He could have used a quantum tunnel device from his own timeline. The hand device would be all he’d need to find his way back to the Prime timeline.
That's not how it worked. The tunnel was the anchor point, and the means by which they were able to navigate from one time period to another and it's to there that they all returned. Otherwise they wouldn't need it at all. It's why The Sanctuary II exited there, it's why they needed the the tunnel in Luis's van to get the stones out of there mid-battle. It's alwsy why Scott was trapped in the quantum realm for five years. They needed to be pulled out from the other side. That was the time machine, not the suits.

Don't know if it's already been posted..

If you search Thanos on Google and click on the gauntlet icon, it will then begin to wipe away half the search results

You can tell this is a Star Trek BBS when we see a movie like this and all we're talking about is how time travel should work :p

I've been in and out of the thread, but this is a Star Trek board and I'm the only one who appreciated the signatures of the original Avenger Actors during the credits? Direct Star Trek VI reference, and TUC was the last movie I saw where they actually did the actor signature thing. Can't think of any other movie where that happened.

You definitely aren't - loved that... truely the ending of an era. (And judging by the applause in the audience, practically no one had left auditorium, at the signature/credits we aren't the only ones.)

Who knows? Maybe it’s sufficient to have access to a tunnel machine and the original hand device. If Cap spent 75 years in an alternate timeline where Janet doesn’t get trapped and Howard doesn’t get killed, their quantum tunnel tech could be ahead of Prime’s.

It's been mentioned a few times throughout the thread.

It seems only two divergent timelines were created: the one with 2014 Thanos traveling to the present day (or future) and the one created by Steve Rogers.

All six "leaks" had been plugged by Cap when he returned all stones to the right temporal coordinates, resulting in the present staying intact.

There's a third one - Loki escaping withe the Tesseract.

The Mind Stone made peoples eye's turn blackish blue, even Wanda's powers taken from it, make the Hulk's eyes a weird red in Age of Ultron. Loki's eyes are just fine.

Don't think I've seen this mentioned but apologies if so- remember those rumours about a role for Katherine Langford, star of 13 Reasons Why, in Endgame? Guessing they were just that as I and the rest of the internet it seems didn't spot her in the movie. Unless she ended up on the cutting room floor..

Something I've not seen people mention - at the funeral - some of the actors look like they are CGI'd over the top of Stand-ins - Bumberbatch Cumberbund for example.
They were green screened in from the 4 corners of the Earth......seriously. Strange was the most odd looking for sure.

So, it'll be super messed up when all the snapped folks return, no? 5 years of all those folks being gone, in some cases entire families. Guessing the remaining half of the population may have made some changes while they were gone, or homes were abandoned, torn down, or moved into. A lot of people may show up to no home or possessions, or someone else using them. Businesses and industries gone, things abandoned or gone to pot. Survivors had 5 years to muddle through, and now going to be another long period of re-acclimating. And that's before you ignore the dynamic shift of 3 billion people being 5 years older than you remember. No one is just going back to normal.

That was when people were under the direct control of the sceptre, as in full on meat puppets. Nobodies eyes went weird in this scene and yet the sceptre's influence is clearly at work. Thanos didn't need to control Loki, only push him in a desired direction. Loki wasn't being controlled by Thanos so much as leashed.

As well as relationships where significant others may have moved on, gotten married and possibly started up new families. I hope the subsequent films and the Disney+ shows address these concerns on some level because the two snaps are huge paradigm shifts for the planet.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if it was swept under the rug as too complicated to tackle. I won't be too disappointed because I can just go watch The Leftovers again.

on a time travel logic level, the steve ending doesn't work for all the reasons mentioned here. But it works on a character level and is good enough for me to close the book on the character in a poetic and appropriate way. There are a lot of films that I tend to over-analyze, but I decided Endgame won't be one of them. I'm just glad the story of the OG Avengers is over, and it works on an emotional level...what bugged me was Captain Marvel.. and that woke movie during the battle in which all the female heroes and only the female heroes are in a frame.. i worry about the future of this franchise
I don’t. I’m happy for all the little girls who will grow up after seeing it and be inspired to create their own stories because they saw a hero who was like them. The kids growing up with these films are the future of film and comics and the future is going to be a lot bigger than 10 years of mostly male heroes. If a single shot of only female heroes bother you, you might want to just stop now because it won’t be the last or you can sit and enjoy it like the rest of us.
