Avengers & Ed Norton

I would disagree and say to a degree they do need Norton. For character devlopment purposes, they need a heart to heard between Banner and Stark.

I hope that Norton is involved someway in Avengers. There had been previous talk about Hulk being a villain in the film. I could see a plot where Loki takes control of Hulk (ala Hulk Vs Thor) and does some SMASHING (maybe through some behind the scenes aide from the Leader setting up a Hulk 2) and the Avengers banding together to stop Hulk. They figure out that Loki is behind Hulk. This way they could merge together the 616 and Ultimates origins of the Avengers.

I know producer Gale Ann Hurd was talking about doing a sequel to The Incredible Hulk with The Leader as the villain. She mentioned it was a strong possibility after The Avengers, though. And they couldn't have done a sequel beforehand since Incredible Hulk director Louis Lettetier has been busy directing the Clash of the Titans remake.

I believe I had read that the actor who plays the Leader was contracted originally for a sequel along with Tim Roth. I think Roth mentions it in the audio commentary for Incredible Hulk but I could be wrong about that its been a while since I listened to that.
