I have this feeling at least two (maybe three) of these characters will not survive this scene.
I have been very afraid for Maria Hill and Jim Rhodes for a while now.
*sigh* What a shame that the series was cancelled.I just watched the Ultron two parter from Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes and methinks this is a blueprint for the movie. Ultron (created by Pym and augmented by Stark) takes over the world's electronics and fires every nuke to kill humanity. He kills Thor in their first encounter and Thor goes to the afterlife, only to return at the last second to lay the final smackdown on Ultron. And what was Ultron's opening move? Taking over all of Iron Man's armor suits to ambush the Avengers in their tower!
Colin Farrell would be a good Tony Stark.Morgan is 48 he's too old. Downey is 49 and he's heading out because he's too old. They need someone to last another decade's worth of movies.

No, seriously.
I just think it works better that Ultron is the creation of man, whether it's Hank Pym or Tony Stark. Using alien tech takes away the "human" element of rebelling against your creator. I know that's what's gonna happen but it's better if they create it rather than adapt it.
Figuring that the backstory change was almost inevitable.

I don't think it's so much the age - both could easily pass for ten years younger. It's more a matter of waning interest / rocketing slaries.
Morgan (or whoever) would probably jump at the chance, be cheper, more motivated and stick with the part for a good few years.
I'd love RDjr. to do it for the next ten years, but it's not going to happen. Morgan would still be my ideal recast. Besides, Tony's power is in his brain and his super suit. Who says he couldn't carry on into his 50's and further ?
BTW, the Ultron bio contains spoilers for his origin. It says thatThe program Tony adapts for Ultron was discovered in the Chitauri invasion aftermath.
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.

Morgan has been cast as Col. Flagg in the Suicide Squad movie and if it takes off he's going to be pretty busy.

Who is the woman standing next to Thor? I can't recognize her.
