I was wondering how it went from her saying she'd like the role to everyone saying she had the role.Sackhoff quells Ms. Marvel rumors. Says she was "misinterpreted".
Doubt it. Except for the word "Spider", Spider-man and Spider-Woman really have no connection to each other.
I think Marvel would shy away from using it because people would think it's an odd Spiderman ripoff (regardless of what Sony would think). I don't think Spiderwoman is iconic enough. Black Widow, Captain Marvel, and maybe a few others would be smarter choices for a female franchise lead.
