^That's awesome news! Wonder if he'll be given the MoCap treatment like Ruffalo and possibly Vin Diesel too.
Good news. Spader will always be Daniel Jackson to me.
Great Casting. Marvel knows how to cast its characters!
Will he be a voice for a CGI/practical FX robot, or will Ultron take Human form?
If Ultron does take human form, which I doubt, Spader is going to have to seriously hit the gym.
Let's hope we get a scene between Ultron and JARVIS. That would be fun.
Hooray, it's the Pretty in Pink/Weird Science crossover-reunion I already knew I wanted!
What, no cries of "This is worse than Ben Affleck as Batman!!!"?
Ultron doesn't have that kind of fanbase.
James Spader rocks. Any Spader involvement in anything can only be a good thing. Though I hope he appears onscreen as oppose to merely a voice part.
Aye, Spader can give more interesting performances in his sleep than Affleck can muster on all but his best days. And while I'd also love to see Alan Shore onscreen in the MCU, he has grown rather portly for a robot, no?
I love Spader, this is terrific news.
This movie will be a reunion for Spader and RDJ. They already were in the "Less Than Zero" movie together which also had Spader's character trying to make RDJ's life miserable.
He got himself in amazing shape for Supernova, though that was 13 years or so ago. Whether he'd still be willing or able to do so for a film now (if this one called for it, that is), I don't know.
Lest we forget, LTZ was in itself a reunion, several years after Spader and Downey fought idiotic bad guys in the all-time classic TUFF TURF. Spader was top-billed then but shared the majority of his screen-time with Kim Richards.
Will Shatner play Kang in AVENGERS III???? Either way, whoever thought of Spader as Ultron is a demented genius.
But it isn't.
A little reunion with him and Robert Downey Jr. They were in an 80's movie where they were yuppies who took drugs
I know it isn't, but some people (here and on Facebook) are none to please about the casting. I don't really care one way or the other.
