Avatar Airbender: Most Powerful Element?

I say Earth. Toph was absolutely bad ass with her Earth bending, not even counting metal bending.

Speaking of bending outside the box, don't forget about blood-bending for the water benders.

I watched the movie recently for a Rifftrax's sake, and I kept saying: "the human body's mostly water--stop their circulation, freeze the water inside their brains, or pull the water out of their eyes." Good to know the most obvious application of controlling water isn't overlooked in the no-doubt superior source material, which I should watch at some point.

What!! Get thee to a Netflixery!

Yeah, it goes there, not often, but when it does it was kinda approaching HighOctaneNightmareFuel levels.

I say none because they are all supposed to work together in peace and... blah blah blah....

Fire. They did a pretty good job winning a war for 100 years and killing off the airbenders.

I can't wait for the sequel series.

Well, FWIW, don't forget that the Fire Nation was secretly preparing for war for quite some time, and then launched a massive surprise attack on the others when Sozin's Comet came, giving them a large advantage in combat. All signs point to them essentially wiping out the Air Nomads in that first strike and establishing colonies in the Earth Kingdom too. Remember during the show that the war is something of a stalemate, though the Nire Nation does seem to be slowly winning and the Southern Water Tribe is almost wiped out.

Pretty much yeah. Some of the more disturbing stuff.

I know, I know!

Actually, despite all its failings, the movie is a sort of a decent commercial for the series: it's clear that under the right hands, there's a pretty cool story somewhere in there.

And that somewhere is, in fact, on Netflix.

Seriously, watch it. It's fantastic.

Firebenders have an advantage in that it's virtually impossible to remove the user from his/her element, since they generate it themselves (Airbenders will almost always have something to work with too; it's a lot easier to contrive scenarios for taking the others away from their element).
