Aussies (esp. mitty) did you buy these DVDs?

Just wanted to see if anyone bought this boxset that was released last week?

I had not seen either of these serials so it was a real treat to get some "new" classic Who.

I have not watched the Invisible Enemy yet (will watch this weekend) but I did watch the K9 and Company (which I've always wanted to see but have never been able to find it).

K9 and Company wasn't the best thing I've ever watched but it was great to see a young Sarah Jane again and it's alway great to see K9 and always great to see a new classic Who serial that I haven't seen before.

Also loved the box that the DVDs came in.

So mitty were you excited by this release or what?

Actually this thread raises an important question...has anyone seen Mitty lately?

K9 and company is great, or at least the title sequence is :lol:

I will say this;

The New CGI effects on The Invisible Enemy are rather juicy. They neither negate the already excellent model work done by Mat Irvine and his mentor Tony Harding, but they actually make it look good while it's moving (something that let the original down somewhat).

Contact has been made!

Bring on the giant prawn!

Can't bring myself to watch K9 and Company just yet.. I still have vivid memories of how utterly stagnant and dreary it was. Still, Liz Sladen helps to carry it, and I guess it's pretty standard fare for a Doctorish-style adventure sans the actual Doctor.. And I've always got time for the little robot-dog so I guess I'll get liquored up and watch it eventually..

Wow someone missed me, I'm impressed :)

Seriously I have just been having some time away from the BBS, well actually I've been hanging around at www.mactalk.com.au as I'm thinking of getting a Mac after the joy that is the iphone :) I still pop in here ever now and again but figure it's a good time to have a rest when there aren't many tv shows on too discuss!

As for K9 Tales well co-incidentally I saw it in a store at lunch time today, I almost bought it but wanted to shop around a bit before I did, but it's definitely on my must buy list!

In other news K9 is currently (still) undergoing renovations. I now have a fabulous new workbench for putting him on, see a photo of a partially dismantled dog over here.

Hope all is well with everyone and it's nice to be missed :)
