Aurora-Type J-Class Transport

I'm wondering if there were any good sources of information on Aurora-Type J-Class ship seen in the remastered version of TOS. She was seen twice, used by Harry Mudd and Dr Sevrin, and looks to be a compact ship. But I'm just wondering if there was anything about her size or general specs out there.

I'm pretty sure that the hull detail, including the scale-establishing portholes, was only ever applied on the Aurora herself. The other two appearances (the ship at the beginning of "Operation: Annihilate!" is also this type) probably featured an, uh, featureless version whose scale thus is for the audience to decide.

In theory, the ship of Leo Walsh could have been of the Aurora specs, if his only freight was Mudd and the three settler wives. Or even if he originally hauled Mudd and forty settler wives, and this was the tail end of his rounds. The portholes suggest two decks and an approximate hull length of sixty meters of so (including the engines).

The Eaglemoss Magazine/model subscription did this ship in its "Mudd's Women" configuration (sans windows). The magazine featured all the official specs, though I'm not sure where my copy is at the moment, so I can't repeat any of it to you at the moment. But the data is probably out there somewhere if you dig around.

^They put the length of the ships on the cover of the magazine, so it's not hard to find. Mudd's ship is 18 m long, with a crew of 6, according to that.

Oh! So they do! I dug out my magazine for nothing. Though it's not all for naught, as the articles were actually interesting, too. They interviewed Mike Okuda, who designed the thing. He reveals that the design was a mash-up of the orange blobby shape that was used for the original effects of Mudd's ship in 1966 as well as some of Jefferies unused concept art for a Starfleet shuttlecraft.

He also revealed that he named the ship Stella after Harry Mudd's lovely bride.
