August/September Challenge: One Step

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step .... That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind .... In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety .... Just do the next right thing, take a step, step again, it is all that I can do .... Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase ....

So much comes from one simple action.

That is the challenge for the next couple of months, write a piece where character(s) begin a journey of some kind, be it literal or figurative.

Canon characters or your own. Whatever length you fancy. Whatever context or theme you want to take on.

Entries should be posted by September 30, with voting running until October 5.
