August Art Challenge - B.J.'s entry

I'm gonna feel this in the morning when I have to get up with my kids.... Sucks to have creative inspiration hit when it's already past midnight!

Anyway, not *exactly* what the topic was looking for, but this was what came to mind. And it does fit, in a roundabout way... :D (If you can read music, you'll get it.)

I had to play it over in my head a few times haha Randomly, I read once that they wanted to use "The Planets" as the soundtrack to STVI:TUC, but couldn't afford the rights -- so yet another ST connection. This month is going to be hard, I think -- Klaus had a great picture and I love the "War of the Worlds" reference, but I love the unique connection that this has, too. Great job!

Very nice... Makes me think of Stranger in a Strange Land, when they use it as a Martian anthem for Mike's first appearance. :D

I like it! Although, I hate to admit it... but the first music phrase/rhythm that popped into my head was 'George of the Jungle'. :guffaw:

Yeah, I'm weird.

Cheers,

Thanks guys!

Interesting, but I find it hard to believe they would try something like that, especially after all the original music that they'd done for previous movies. Besides, I prefer original music over trying to shoehorn existing music into a movie.

 But then he'd need at least two tympani!

I thought it was pretty weird, too. I don't personally own the soundtrack, but according to Memory Alpha (which certainly isn't the end-all-be-all haha), the liner notes to the soundtrack revealed that piece of information. Though, I agree that original music is always great :)
