Attention all Twins fans...

So, you think Target Field is gonna be cold, or what? Baseball. Outside. In Minnesota. That oughta be fun... ;)

seriously though, I can't wait to see it. Gotta be better than the damn Metrodome (or as my dad calls it, the Humpty Dumpty). About time the Twins got a decent ballpark!

I've seen some concept sketches and it looks nice. As for the cold, it can't be much worse than Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Denver, etc. early and alte in the year.

If you're cold, buy some hot cocoa!

The St. Paul Pioneer Press has been keeping a running tally of how the weather would affect Twins games if they were playing outside this year. So far, none of the games would have been postponed and the temp hasn't been a problem. Some of the early season games might have been a bit chilly, but nothing too extreme. A small price to pay for getting to see games outside instead of in the dump they're in now.

I've been buying the state lottery tickets that are giving away tickets for next year's games in the second chance drawing. I'm almost disappointed when I win and can't send in a losing ticket. I have a feeling good seats will be hard to come by next year.

I wonder if the concessions will reflect the weather conditions of the area. Meaning, will they sell more hot food, like soup, chili, hot chocolate, even coffee. AFAIK, the new Marlins ballpark will have a lot of food appropriate to the local culture, maybe this will too.

And I wonder if they will have heated seats. I wonder if they could pull that off.

And they'll probably cost an arm and a leg!

Makes sense. How many cold ones are they really gonna sell on a 30 degree night?
