Very nice!As the title states, this thread will contain some of my concept sketches to many of my designs and musings that have yet to be realized.

I hope the Akira-class also has a Tetsuo refit? And that examples of the two variants competed in wargames exercises at least once, hailing each other back and forth through subspace frequencies all the while?
The Alexander variant looks like it’s meant to grab and tug very large masses with the structures at the back?

Sorry no on the Alexander. I was exploring a design using a torus shape for a Federation vessel.

Thanks. If you were not aware, the Aker sports a forward-aft symmetry rather than a lateral symmetry, so I think you may be looking at the vessel incorrectly... this may help:
Like 99.9% of Starfleet vessels, exploration.
Update- Here are the ideas for vessel shapes of the Federation colony world of Alpha Centauri. I thought it would be interesting to see how their vessels might develop being seperated from Earth. Due to the materials involved in their construction, I imagined the vessels coming from the Alphans as sporting a reddish-brown hugh to their hulls. This has led to the nickname of the "Red Fleet".

I like the Lun-class! Interestingly, about 10 years ago in a fan comic I never finished I was also using Kelvin styled components as "Alpha Centauri" ships, although I tinted it more lavendar than red on the theory that red meant "Vulcan."

This ship is not Kelvin, but prime timeline (whatever that means anymore lol). I actually didn't have JJverse in mind when I designed her, but TOS as Cochrane was from Alpha Centauri or at least popular enough to be know from there, "Zephram Cochrane... Of Alpha Centauri?".
Yeah, that's where I was going as well. My headcanon leans more on Franz Joseph than Enterprise, so in my head Alpha Centauri is one of the founding members of the Federation. Usually they're "near humans" rather than actual Humans, as in TOS we saw so many "alien" species that were essentially indistinguishable from Humans.
