Astra's VOY action figures in action

Astra

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Hi! I already have a thread for Enterprise figures

https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/astras-action-figures-in-action.311142/

and also one for TOS

https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/astras-tos-action-figures-in-action.314335/

and now was asked to do one for Voyager as well. That's it, I promise, I don't have any other figures ;)
Especially for you, @Sumire.

I started watching Voyager for the very first time in February 2020, right at the beginning of the pandemic. It helped me keeping my sanity and I will always be grateful for that. I had only meant to educate myself in more Star Trek things, I had not planned to become a proper fan, but you know how it is!

So, late to the game, I tried to find figures. The very first that arrived was Tuvok which inspiried me to these first pictures.

Little crossover there...

Then the rest all came in a bundle from overseas which took a while.

More to come, if you like! I always was more into the 7" scale as they are looking more realistic but I really have come to love these cute 4,5" Playmates figures.

I stopped collecting the action figures during TNG. But I did have most of the command staff, the D bridge and the GEN engineering set. Still have them actually. :techman:

Thank you @Astra! You always make such fun, creative and intricate scenes! I only owned one of the Playmates figures back in the day, my beloved Wesley Crusher. Didn’t really know what to do with one singular character…

Thanks, Astra! Another hit with this TOS/Voyager diehard. I have all of these too (except no Kes or Neelix, plus Seven and Carey). Love to see them in action. Where did the Janeway/Chakotay seats and the biobed come from?

Oh but if you have a bridge AND an engineering set, then you NEED to go and take some pictures! It's the law! ;)
Have some fun!

I agree, one figure is not much, but still there is lots that you can do with him. Some people take their figures / plushies wherever they go and take pictures there, travelling, or just drinking coffee at Starbucks.

If you're on Twitter, here is someone who takes her little Riker everywhere. For some inspiration!

Thank you! I later also added mutant Tom Paris including salamander babies and B'Elanna as a Klingon ;)
I did get Seven eventually as well but since she is very expensive these days I got a cheap one that somebody had painted blue and re-did the paint.

Where did the Janeway/Chakotay seats and the biobed come from?

I thought nobody would ever ask ;)
They are made by Triple Fiction Productions. This is the place to go:

There is a whole sickbay set and also more bridge pieces, even with electronics if you want to spring for that. The link goes to page 1 of 2 so make sure to check both. In the store there are also other ship classes (aka other Star Trek shows).

Don't worry if an item is marked as sold out. Just put your address on the "notify me" to get an alert and so the guy knows what is most in demand and what to make next. I could also link you to the Facebook page where it's always annouced what goes next up for ordering. But as soon as they come in they fly out of the window again so you have to be quick!

Posting my pictures I will go in order though, otherwise I'll confuse myself. So next we will have some shippy scenes for the J/C shippers. I bought this tiny coffee pot many years if not decades ago. It seemed very fitting:

And I never can resist putting someone into a sickbay bed. We know how touchy Kathryn is!

Cuuuute Janeway x Chakotay scenes!!♥

That repaint of Seven looks amazing! I wouldn’t know it wasn’t original!

Thanks for the Twitter recommendation, what an interesting person!

Thank you! I have some more customized figures, which I happily will show over time.

Thanks for sharing! It looks like you had a lot of fun making these photos.

Oh yes, I definitely do!

Let's have some more fun, shall we? Fun will now commence, as Seven once said. This time it's B'Elanna and Tom. Do you know the movie "Last Action Hero"? This is Arnold Schwarzenegger's car. It has a thing so you can put it sideways for action scenes. Love it!

In German, the trunk is called "Kofferraum" which means, bag room. So I took this very literal.

The whole team had to help!

What a neat car for cool poses! I definitely think Tom and B’Elanna could have some fun combining his love for classic cars and her adrenaline junkie tendencies!

Exactly! It was perfect for them.

Joe Carey getting an action figure and then forgotten about until they killed him at the end of Season 7 is a travesty. Poor guy.
I really was surprised when he turned up again all of a sudden after this long time, and had a suspicion he might not make it till the end.

I mean, if you watch a lot of TV, you kinda recognize the signs! That was really not nice of them.
I promise to use him once in a while so he will not be forgotten!

But first, let's add more bridge pieces!

Every frame of that was cute! I loved the big bow and the blindfold in particular!

Yay! Harry! I love him! And listening to The Delta Flyers has made me love Tom and Harry more than ever!!
True, me too! A whole new look onto Tom specifically also. Robbie is just a teddy bear!
I had a video chat with both of them during the crowdfunding for the Voyager documentary and I even dared to ask a question

And now we come to the bathroom! A friend had sent me lots of dollhouse stuff, among it was this bathroom set. But I had no proper tiled walls for it. So I made them, from lots of tiny cardboard pieces that I cut.

I got a little help from Xander:

Then Chakotay and Tom helped setting it all up and cleaning:

"Can you leave now? I want to take a bath!"

Yay! Harry! I love him! And listening to The Delta Flyers has made me love Tom and Harry more than ever!!
Yesterday they were up to some shenanigans!

Ahahaha, I actually can HEAR this!

Building a bathtub is a sure fire way to summon Janeway. :)

It sure is! I hadn't posted this picture, as you can see her black uniform shining through the bubbles.

I then got an extra Janeway and painted her nude ;)
And then I went and created this whole New Earth set with fake moss and plants:

You can use all kinds of things, just keep your eyes open!

Oh my goodness! I love Tom’s retro room! That lava lamp! It lights up?!? So cool! The superhero figurines! The heart pillow! My hipster taste is delighted by the turntable and records and the boombox appeals to my nostalgia for my eighties childhood! (Can you call yourself a hipster for buying music on specially colored vinyl releases if you actually remember when it was standard for all albums to come on vinyl?)

Harry has a clarinet! Tom does totally strike me as someone who noodles around on a guitar to impress the ladies but I feel like he never applied himself to learn more than the basic chords. Maybe when he got older… now I’m picturing him looking like RDM embarrassing Miral by serenading her with the classic nineties hit “Butterfly Kisses.” :)
