And in the funniest news I've heard in a while apparently Universal has bought the rights to make a movie based on the game Asteroids.

While I once played an interesting text game based on Pac-Man with a story about addiction I think they'll have their work cut out for them trying to add depth to this game.

Somehow, yes, they are. I can't really see how but I'm not a Hollywood exec with a BS in b.s. Monopoly I can kind of see a story but what I'm seeing is more a group of greedy wealthy business owners competing to buy up the property of some location, and that has absolutely no need to tie into Monopoly. The Sims? Anyone can make a "movie" out of what you do in that and some people try to recreate movies in it so who knows what their plans for that are.

Asteroids, same thing. It's a triangle shooting weird blocks. It's the asteroid scene from Star Wars all over again simplified into pixels.
