asteroid might hit the earth tomorrow

The object is only 33 feet across...not big enough to cause any damage -- unless you are walking down the street and it happens to fall on you. Or your house or place of business.

That might smart.

Oh my! I think my number is up!

(I have always said that I would be killed by an asteroid or falling satellite, since I love space and the space program so much. Or I will be killed in freak cow stampede, since I am a vegetarian. :rommie:)

Obscure comic strip reference of the day:

Is it the comet Kohoutek?

What comic is that referring to? I'm old enough to remember the real Comet Kohoutek, and in fact, in my bedroom I have a paperback about it on the shelf.

This would be a good time to stay away from Georgia Lass. :shifty:

What about a toilet seat from a space station?

edit to say - (oops I just notice there is already a reference to Georgia Lass).

Think 'Bart's Commet...'
It will burn up.....

Not sure about asteroids and the dogs, but I do know, if you hear rain, then grab your gun and bring in the cat.

Peanuts. When comet Kohoutek was in the news Schultz ran a strip parodying the Doomsdayers by having Snoopy and Woodstock believe the end of the world was coming.

Will this asteroid-hitting event get me a day off work? Otherwise you're just getting my hopes up unneccesarrily. :(

Thirty three feet across? Damn, this will make all the toy Dinosaurs go extinct. :(
