Ashes to Ashes Series 3 (may contain Spoilers)

You know what would have been neat? If the undercover cop turned out to be Annie. I know that wouldn't have happened, but it would have been such a nice turn and added to the whole Sam mystery that they've been pushing.

The part with Jim at the end was unexpected, he was such a prick up until then.

Shit, now I can't hate him!

We have a theory that Creepy Guy is dead and if/when she gets back she'll discover this.

That was a good episode, quite dark and gritty but still funny. The Blue Peter garden bit made me howl, both me and my g/f were saying we remembered that happening at the time. I had wondered what the point of the engine oil was.

Jim's become a lot more ambiguous here, but maybe he's just clever enough to give Gene enough rope to hang himself?

I'm wondering if 6620 is the mangled copper's number? (I'm not sure how high the numbering goes.)

The best bit was probably Ray going on about animal attraction though

feels like it sometimes.

only if you're a Daily Fail reader...besides its three coppers and 1254 CSOs ;)
Now now, that's a bit of a low estimate... there's at least 5000 CSOs.
all of which are hopeless, I spoke to a group of 4 PCSOs about to go on shift, and asked them where the nearest NHS Drop In Centre was, only 1 of them knew, im not sure they are ready for proper police work just yet, and by that I mean manning speed check points, and telling people how to get a crime number.

 Good point!

And Wamdue you're forgetting the most important fact about CSOs, they're cheaper than coppers and isn't that all that really matters? :shifty:
They're cheaper than coppers, from a distance you're fooled in to thinking they are coppers, and in case of emergency they're there to be able to run and try to find a copper.

ha ha, aren't there health and safety risks to their running?

I guess there is a benefit to them looking like police from a distance, they give the impression of a police presence even if it's illusion, but that's about all.

God I'd love just one episode of Gene Hunt in 2010, imagine what he'd have to say about CSOs!!

Oh god, Blunket bobbies (or plastic plods, as I understand the actual the actual police call them). One more reason (among many) why New Labour doesn't deserve to win the election, even if the Cons don't either.
