It's interesting that they're starting this off with what looks like a two episode arc with a shady Superintendent, just like Life on Mars' second series.
The luminous green/yellow? Yeah, that's what they wear now. With the scene that looks like she was being worked on by EMTs... were those supposed to be 21st century uniforms?
Really? The Mystery™ isn't doing it for ya? How about a gimmick episode? Apparently they're thinking about doing a 3D episode for series 3...Pretty standard Ashes to Ashes fare.
ie I'm still enjoying Gene, Ray and Chris's moments, but the show is a load of shit flavoured balls.
that would be cool, and I dont think its totally impossible he could appear in the finale.I did wondering if perhaps the guy in the hospital at the start is Sam, it did say "prolonged coma" in the paper work Alex was reading at the start of the first series.

I think my problem with it is that whatever "mystery" there might have been was destroyed by the parent show. Unless they fuck with the mythology to the point of ruining it, there is no mystery.
That wouldn't be such a bad thing except I find it very difficult to become invested in the events of a television show that occurs almost entirely in the mind of the (irritating) protagonist, and I find it rather jarring that the protagonist, who makes a point of reminding the audience how aware she is of the situation every 5 minutes, seems to fritter between not giving a shit (because it r not realz) and becoming rather invested (oh teh noes, that imaginary woman who I've known for 2 minutes is dead).
I just find it rather difficult to care about anything that happens to these characters now, which isn't helped by the fact that every episode's crime mystery is filled with obvious twists that you can spot a mile away, and some of the dialogue is ridiculous.
Pretty much just watching it for the character moments of the Mancunian trio, which are few and far between.
I hate being negative about a show, I'm sure more than a few people think "there goes Jim Steele again - what a joyless cunt".
BBC I player is your friendWell now, this is one of the few things that would have got me to turn on my TV last night, however somehow I got it into my head that it was on tonight.![]()
Jeez, here we go again...Jeez, Jim, Who, Dwarf, A2A, is there any Brit SF show you do like?
Good god no.If you say Hyperdrive I WILL hit you.
I'm writing an audio sitcom...Seriously, you should figure out what you like in a show, write it in a pilot script and send it to the BBC Writers Room. I'm not being sarky, if you can create something to a standard you like that isn't going to cost the Earth to produce, you could be on to something.
Did it? I remember Gene and the gang saying he died in their world, but all I remember about his condition in "the real world" was a form that said "Prolonged Coma."that would be cool, and I dont think its totally impossible he could appear in the finale.I did wondering if perhaps the guy in the hospital at the start is Sam, it did say "prolonged coma" in the paper work Alex was reading at the start of the first series.
He's dead. Committed suicide at the end of LoM and his death was confirmed in Ashes to Ashes' first episode.
I enjoyed it, but apart from the fellow time traveler in the surgeon's mask, it was nothing that I haven't seen before, because I knew for certain that the hot stripper was going to get killed and that bushy eyebrowed bloke from V for Vendetta was a bad guy.
That seemed to come from the sun so I was thinking it was bull.I read some reports suggesting this is the final season, and talk of a 3rd was just for the press, and keep people guessing.
