Artemis stacking begins

While unmanned probes are getting better at gathering information, our nature is to explore. To physically go where no one else has. And ultimately our very survival may require us to venture out from our home in search of a new one and hopefully, we won't fuck it up as we did the old one.

I wouldn't bet the farm on that. I see mining being a big Earth export

Take 3: NASA has scheduled another launch attempt for 27SEP at 1137 EDT. There is a second opportunity on 2OCT. There is a manned SpaceX Falcon-9 launch on 3OCT to the IIS.

Launch for Artemis has been scrubbed, again. There's only a 20% chance of favorable weather conditions on TUE 27SEP due to the current tropical depression heading towards Florida. They will make the call Sunday night if they need to roll Artemis back to the Vertical Assembly Building. If they don't need to roll it back, the next launch window would be SUN 2OCT. If they don't launch by 2OCT, they'll have to roll it back anyway and the next launch window has not been identified yet.

Given how warm the waters are in the North Atlantic, and the 2022 hurricane season starting with a CANADIAN landfall ... it wouldn't surprise me if Artemis doesn't lift off this year. :sigh:

Back to the barn to ride out the storm. Next launch attempt is TBD.

Think I saw mention that the next launch window wasn't until some time on October and looking shows that's correct but due to some system requirements it's being reported they're looking to a launch window that starts early November.

After the first launch was scrubbed, the mission duration was cut but no mention if it will be cut, kept the current length or returned to the original duration. Guess NASA will decided that closer to the next launch date.

Artemis now pushed back until November. While it's back in the VAB, they're going to replace limited life items.

They're now going to try for a launch on November 14th.

Though there's another big weather system head Florida's way in the form of sub-tropical storm Nicole.

NASA has decided to leave the SLS at the pad believing the winds gusts will be within the limits for the rocket ( below 74.1 knots.).

The trips to and from the pad put a lot of stress on the rocket and NASA has a budget for how many trips it can make. For Artemis, there's one trip left in the budget any they might need that if she doesn't launch next Monday.

I'm kinda leery on it remaining..
Might have higher gusts than its rated for..
I mean it's numbers, 2.4 billion rocket, few million to move it. To late now anyways.. Button up.
