I'm looking forward the ENT-B and Excelsior... only about a year late and still not here!
I finally ordered the D from Amazon. Not bad for $41 shipped.
NO windows on the dorsal neck. A Bridge that lights up like a freakin' Christmas tree.
windows you got to paint in like hte Playmates ship, just to give it an appearence of being lighted.
And the fact that rather than stop making the ship and correct the at least the dorsal, they'd rather keep making it. Reminds me of Varese Sarabande who accidently issued the "GI Joe" movie score CD with some tracks in MP3, but rather than correct it, they let it go, and even got pissy about it. Before that they had been a nearly flawless label in reputation, but their attitude toward us over their mistake, was lousey. Didn't Art Asylum offer a freakin' sticker to put on the dorsal?
How could you say that the Art Asylum version of the E-E is a disappointment? What was the biggest disappointment? The exqusite attention to detail? The overall coolness of holding THE GREATEST rendition of the GREATEST incarnation of the Enterprise EVER??!!
Shall I remind us all of the true disappointment? Enterprise-E as rendered by Playmates?![]()
AT LEAST when Playmates made the Enterprise-D they put in a decent effort to render the ship as accurately as possible, but they did'nt make the same effort with the E-E,they just....well it looked like the company just did'nt care.
I have'nt been a member of Trek BBS long so I might have missed something,if that is indeed the case,I look forward to the correction, but what was so "disappointing" about Art Asylum's version?
