Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

BTW, Deadline is reporting that the CW has given early renewals to all its current DC series for next season (except for Arrow).

I hope next season is the final season for Flash. If not then fine, but It's not really as good as it used to be and we are now in the time where the show would return from winter hiatus and go on to ruin the season. I hope that doesn't happen this season but it's happened the last two years and now that we're past Crisis, I wonder what they will do for a second half of the season storyline.

Oliver as The Spectre doesn't really look that different from Oliver as Green Arrow.

It's like it was predestined from the moment he donned the green hood. Or, alternatively, it's a good way to rationalize why the Spectre wears a green hood -- because the Spectre is the former Green Arrow! (Although that doesn't account for Constantine's Zed seeing a vision of a green mantle around Earth-1's Jim Corrigan.)

I also like how Oliver becoming the Spectre takes the line he's been saying for 8 seasons -- "I must become something else" -- and recontextualizes it, as if it had been hinting at this all along (even though it wasn't).

Thanks for the help in finding the Crisis comic -- we FINALLY found a "true" Walmart Supercenter, and found it where y'all said -- in the collectibles....it was the last one left! (So not mint condition, but certainly readable).

Looks like an interesting set up for some things (or at least looking at things we might have wondered about). And flashbacks to the original...about to share with my oldest daughter..

Look forward to next week!

Well you never know he may come back in 40 years when some other run of DC related shows decide to do "Final Crisis", but other than that, yeah, when you go out like that it really doesn't make sense to just pop back in for the odd cameo.

I don't really see how that lines up, they are two totally different types of characters.

Superman has been such a minor part of the universe at this point, that I don't really see him as the figure head. If it was going to be anybody I'd say it'd be Barry, or Sarah since they've been around the longest and are pretty major figures in the crossover stories.

Only because his show hasn’t started yet. I just don’t see Barry as a leader type. He’s too sensitive.

Don't forget Supergirl. They made a point in Crisis of setting up a Kara-Kate friendship as the replacement for the Oliver-Barry pairing. I'd say at this point the new "Trinity" is the Flash, Supergirl, and White Canary.

I'm disappointed, I was really excited for the idea of Amell popping up now and then as the Spectre; it was one of the most exciting things for me about Crisis and while what we got was... fine... it was a little underwhelming. I wanna see some proper Spectre appearances.

I'd say, give the man some time away from the role. He just got done with filming a few months ago, is spending time with his family and has other things in the cooker. Let him breathe, relax, think and do other things before dumping the "Will you ever return?" question on him.

Also, let him stay away so that, in-universe, Oliver's sacrifice MEANS something.

Harrison Ford was done with Han Solo... until he wasn't.
Patrick Stewart was done with Jean-Luc Picard... until he wasn't.

Give it some time.

I think it's a matter of health.

He must have some stressful association. It's likely the panic attack was a symptom of something greater. I can understand why he wants to put it all behind him for awhile.
