Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

Hmm, looks like the Cosmic Treadmill is there in the scene with Black Lightning (along with the Flashes of two worlds and Frost, and probably Vibe judging from the earlier teaser). Maybe that's how they're crossing worlds?

Not sure, but I think Kingdom Come Superman is on the Waverider there. That must be weirding out the Legends. I wonder if Ray is in the same scene.

A brief shot of Smallville Clark is there too, in the quick montage in the middle. And of course he's in flannel. It doesn't look likely we'll see him in a cape, unless they're holding that back as a surprise.

There is a scene in COIE #10 where they use the speed, electrical and magnetic based heroes and villains to power various time machines to take them to the dawn of time to battle the Anti-Monitor.

OK, I'm probably not in the position to judge (I bailed on Arrow during season one) but COIE having piqued my curiosity, I've started watching the new series of Arrow which sets it up.

I'm really not liking anything about it - the cast, the acting, the script, the production values, nothing. Should I stick with it or can I just watch the crossovers ?

To be honest, given my lack of enjoyment of Arrow and that I don't watch the other Arrowverse shows, should I bother at all ? I was mostly interested because of the original comic and the crossovers with other classic DC TV shows.

I think Arrow's pretty different in tone from the others in some ways -- it's darker, more solemn and gritty, more grounded and street-level (most of the time), more driven by big stunt sequences than CGI. So you might like the other shows more, or not.

I think I might have been expecting a bit too much. It's a bit late to dip into the other shows but I could always explore them if I enjoy the crossovers.

For better or worse, I'll dive into Crisis as it was that that interested me originally.

And here is the official trailer from the CW.

In the trailer we see an Earth-73 is that just a random numbered Earth or is there some significance to 1973 that would be used?

I tried looking up stuff but all I get is the Six Million Dollar man started airing that year, but pretty sure DC doesn't own that.

Well, DC's version of the Freedom Fighters debuted in 1973, but that's unlikely to be it, since the Freedom Fighters are from Earth-X, and some of them have already been introduced (the Ray in live action, plus Phantom Lady and Black Condor in the animated webseries that was supposed to be in the Arrowverse but contradicted it massively.)

1973 was also when DC's Shazam! comic debuted, as well as Prez, its short-lived title about a teenaged US President.

And... wow... 1973 was also the year Super Friends debuted on TV.

Thinking about it, you have Batwoman, Supergirl, Arrow, Flash, Black Lightning and Legends. Why isn't this thing 6 hours instead of 5?
