Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths to be 5-Part Crossover

And yes! Flash-90 is back, baby!
He's in two of the teasers in the teaser trailer collection that Samurai8472 posted a few pages back.

In the Earth-1 Barry teaser the feet running on the treadmill and speed suit remnants (note the 1990's Flash emblem) on what looks like the same treadmill are his.

In the Black Lightning one he's face to face with BL when BL delivers the "No one else has to die" line.

I'm not reading spoilers, but I'm curious how they do the crossover NEXT year. What do you do after COIE?

National Lampoons Arrowverse Christmas Vacation

Challenge of the Superfriends!

Actually...a villain team-up would kinda have to be the next big thing... not just for DC TV (their "Legion of Doom was just 3 people...they need a bigger one, worthy of crossover battles), but Marvel should be looking to that to cap off Phase 5.

Especially if they get Fantastic 4... Dr. Doom can be puttng the pieces together, and Spiderman says "We have got to get all of our Superfriends together and fight this Legion of Doom". ALl the older heroes (especiallyactors age 40+) give SPidey the sideeye, and he goes "What??"

I think after something like CoIE, they should either skip the crossover next year or have it be much more low-key or lighthearted.

I doubt they would skip it, but they could go a different route.

I don't know about doing this in 2020, but maybe in 2021.

Imagine the end result is all our main shows are on one Earth.

History has been rewritten. That means Superman and Supergirl are now a part of Earth 1.

If Superman is Superman, then he would have been the first big hero of this era, and the A list legend he is supposed to be.

Now let's say it's Season 2 of Superman.

Maybe they can do the Doomsday storyline. It certainly is something that could be epic enough in the beginning, with ramifications across all the shows before of course Superman comes back. Obviously the main story would be on Superman's show, but there are ramifications that could encompass Flash and Supergirl and maybe Stargirl as well.

I think the best thing to do after CoIE is not to try to match it. I'd rather see something like several smaller crossovers throughout the season, instead of one huge one. Just give us a continuing feel of a superhero community, rather than a bunch of separate worlds that only notice each other during the crossovers.

Yeah, trying to up the ante from the last one is how a lot of the big comic crossover events fell a little flat. Best to take a step back.

Maybe they could do a crossover event that rather than have everyone coming together, works more like a relay, with each show handing off to the next and then the next and so on. Maybe the same villain moving from city to city, or some McGuffin getting passed around, or just some thematic link between the episodes. That way each instalment is still an episode of it's own show.

That said, if they want to go even more nuts then a version of 'Blackest Night' seems like the logical choice. Randomly introducing the Green Lantern mythos just so literally every major dead character can come back as a super powered zombie would be a neat trick to pull off, though to get the full effect they'd need to do it for Halloween, not December.

They've released the poster for Crisis.
I like it, and I think it probably gives us a pretty good idea of who the most important characters will be.
I also notice that Brandon Routh's Superman notwithstanding, none of the non-Arrowverse characters are there, except for Black Lightning which may confirm that it is a core Arrowverse show.
Edit - Whoops, just saw the John Wesley-Shipp Flash.

I like smaller crossovers too, though I think they should be like when Flash met Supergirl or the Music Meister episode. But that said, the one big crossover is kind of a cool event, and the ratings certainly warrant it.

I just realized that we haven't seen any signs of any Black Lightning characters actually taking part in any of the crossover elements. I'm wonder if they're just going be in scenes or even just a scene set of their Earth.

It's probably just going to be BL himself, and I doubt it'll be addressed much if at all in the BL series. If there's a scene on his Earth, it'll probably just be his recruitment. Although they'd have to fly out to Atlanta to shoot a scene on one of the show's standing sets, so they probably won't.

What I'm hoping is that they can coax George Perez out of retirement to do a poster for this, in the tradition of the Phil Jimenez poster for Crisis on Earth-X.

I agree `100% with @Christopher on this one. George Perez not just drew the COIE series & covers...but also crooover covers very similar to the one he linked to.

It would be magnificent if that happened...not much time though, so not expecting it, but would love it.

Entertaiment Weekly has announced that they are going to be releasing Ultimate Guide to the Arrowverse.
EW has been doing tons of these Ultimate Guides over the last few years, I haven't gotten a chance to read any of them so I'm not sure if they're any good.

Those so-called "Ultimate Guides" are not much better than fan sites dedicated to slapping together worn stories, the odd rare photo and not much else. Very similar to the 50,000 Time, Newsweek and other dust collectors versions on Star Trek, Star Wars, Batman, Bruce Lee, random dead rock star, the 60s.....
