Spoilers Arrow - Season 4

After all, it was "Flash of Two Worlds" that established the DC multiverse in the first place -- and that was very early in the history of the Silver Age Flash,
That doesn't mean anything. I'm sure there plenty of examples ere a show deviated from its source in favor of dramatic effect. Because nothing kills a show faster than premature escalation.

But they aren't deviating. They're following the comics. The only question is whether they're following the comics because they want to follow the comics or because there's a Supergirl show on another network. I think, absent evidence to the contrary, it makes sense to me that they're following the comics because Flash is a show that likes the comics a lot.

Yes, exactly. That's what I was trying to get across. The makers of The Flash are clearly dedicated to capturing as many core elements of the comics as they can -- the Speed Force, STAR Labs, the Rogues, the Reverse Flash, Grodd, time travel, the Flashpoint backstory with his parents, the works. And the multiverse has been a core element of Flash storytelling since 1961, and is inseparably tied to the Flash because he's the character who introduced it. It's one of the few core ideas that they didn't already use in season 1, and is probably the biggest and most central idea that they didn't already use. So it was inevitable that they would include it before much longer.

Being from Massachusetts, I'm amazed that someone found a way to discuss Chappaquiddick on a TV show without even mentioning Teddy Kennedy.

That constantine episode was pretty cool. I do love the idea of the arrowverse giving a home to refugees from defunct superhero shows. Like Allison Mack shows up as Chloe Sullivan or the girls from Birds of Prey appear, or Dean Cain is the Earth-2 S̶u̶p̶e̶r̶m̶a̶n̶ Iron Munro. No but seriously I think it would be neat if Constantine would show up again.
