Spoilers Arrow - Season 4

Thea used the name "Mia" in Corta Maltease.

"Mia Dearden" was the girl Speedy in the comics who happened to have AIDS.

Lazerus Pitt vs. AIDS?

I'm wondering if Thea had already contracted the disease before the Pitt "fixed her" and it's later, while looking through the mail that had piled up while she had been busy, that Speedy finds some paperwork explaining how she had failed an std panel spectacularly, and should be dead, or very, very sick.

Which would elevate her to "Chose One" status.

Drug companies would hunt her down to stick the girl in a lab, and cut her brain open and figure out what the #### happened, or suppress the cure to make sure that their billion dollar industry continues.

Granted the thing with Wells still works on a technicality and isn't actually a lie. But it's still splitting hairs.

It's hardly splitting hairs. Wells and Thawne are two different people, always were. The fact that Thawne assumed Wells' identity doesn't change that. The Arrow execs' statement was correct.

Don't be such a Lawyer.

They lied.

They lied hard.

It's in line with the Classic joke "Mississippi, how many I's in It?"

Harrison Wells is an original character who died 10 years before the show started.

Wells is not Thawne.

Thawne is Thawne.

Eobard Thawne is Zoom and will always remain to be Zoom... Although?

I thought Reverse Flash & Pro. Zoom were different?

In the comics, Eobard Thawne was nicknamed Professor Zoom and also took on the role of the Reverse-Flash. After he was gone, Hunter Zolomon became another Reverse-Flash who was known simply as Zoom. Basically, Thawne was Barry Allen's archnemesis and Zolomon was Wally West's. The show has simplified things by associating Thawne exclusively with the Reverse-Flash name and reserving Zoom for a different character (pre-zoom-ably Zolomon).

Yeah, they've already announced that Zoom is a different character from Reverse Flash, and they will be the Big Bad this season. He's going to be voiced by Tony Todd, who played Kurn in Trek, and the titular bad guy in the Candyman movies. They compared his work here to James Earl Jones in Star Wars, so that means he'll be just the voice, with somebody else playing the character physically and out of the suit, that is presuming the character has a separate identity when they're not Zoom.

I mainly remember him from Smallville (2001) – Earl Jenkins & Transformers: Prime (2012) - Dreadwing Should be cool voice for Zoom. :)

This is weird.

400 Days

Prof. Wells, Ray Palmer and White Canary are all in a movie together.

That is very curious. The director's filmography is extremely short. Plus its listed as a 2015 release but no real date. Probably a very low budget film. I wonder if it will get a full release at all? IMDB is filled with low budget films staring more high profile actors that have limited or no releases.

I did some searching it was shot in June 2014. Probably before Routh started on Arrow and Cavanagh started filming on The Flash. I found the director on Twitter https://twitter.com/mattosterman. At the end of August he said there should be news coming soon. The most interesting thing is seeing Brandon Routh and Caity Lotz in a picture together long before they were cast in Legends.

That's no biggie - Robbie Amell and Victor Garber were both in "The Hunters" in 2013, an utterly forgettable TV movie/pilot also filmed in Canada. It was on TV a couple months ago and someone must have used it as a reference for the two being compatible as Firestorm. That movie also starred Alexa Vega, who was with Robbie on The Tomorrow People; same deal.

Makes sense. Actors are often auditioned together to test for mutual chemistry. If two actors work well together, it's not unlikely that they could end up being cast together in multiple projects. The casting directors on the later project wouldn't necessarily have seen the earlier project (though they might have); it could just be that the actors' chemistry was evident in both cases.

Yeah, I've been amazed how many actors have worked together a lot. Claire Holt and Phoebe Tonkin from The Vampire Diaries spent two seasons as costars on the Australian teen show H2O, Just Add Water, before both appearing in a season on TVD together and costarring on The Originals.
