Arrow/Flash Superhero Team-Up Spinoff In Works At CW

Works for me. Considering the vast majority of aliens are usually white who speak with British or American accents.

Actually I think its reasonable to think they are not. She is the Kendra Saunders version. She is tied to the reincarnation origins of the Golden Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Geoff Johns reintroduced that into the comics. He is heavily involved in all these shows.

I suspect they see that as more grounded and interesting than introducing Aliens to this universe. Also if my prediction of immortal Vandal Savage as the villain is correct, I think she has history with him during a previous life.

I suspect they see that as more grounded and interesting than introducing Aliens to this universe.

And yet they keep hinting that they might cross over with CBS's Supergirl...

Really, I think "grounded" went out the window the moment the STAR Labs particle accelerator exploded.

And so we now have the White Canary. That will work for me I suppose. Really looking foward to this one, so much potential.

I heard that name floated around for months and I am still not sure what that identity really means. Obviously Sarah Lance was created for tv. White Canary I believe is a mysterious Asian enemy of Black Canary.....

They probably just thought it was a good way to give the two sisters two different names.

It is confirmed this series debuts midseason. One of the producers said some of the questions will be answered on Arrow and The Flash episodes before than.

White Canary was both a mysterious enemy of Black Canary and, for a short time, an alternate identity used by Black Canary in the last Birds of Prey comic series before the New 52 reboot. So, there is a comic example of Black Canary becoming White Canary, although the TV reasons will obviously be very different from the comic reasons.

Trailer/preview might not be publicly seen until it airs after the Flash finale.

I wonder if Hawkgirl has a costume? Those who saw the preview says she does fly in it. Oh and Ray Palmer does something we all have been waiting for since he was first announced to appear on Arrow! :)

We have the trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MubNoWQiSc

The big mystery is Firestorm. We see him in body all on Fire. But do not see his face. So likely not Robbie Amell...
Stein does refer to himself as half a superhero. Plus Firestorm is named on screen credit list with all the characters. So he is definitely in this show somehow.

Unless Robbie is a guest star only, and Firestorm is kept away from the (very crowded) main cast.

That preview video looks great - just saw it on Facebook. CW has a chance to really run with the superhero mega teamup concept and really develop it more than a 2.5 hour film can do - I really hope they do it right.

Nice trailer. They hid Hawkgirl pretty well there. A few shots of her flying but nothing much. Rip came across well and the time bubble made me a very happy man as did the mention of the Time Masters. With just 13 eps this should crack along at a good pace. The Atom shrinking was cool but the effect looked off somehow.
The CW is really hitting things pretty well and having the whole DC Universe(minus the big three and their attached properties) to play with is a great thing.

I am not concerned about the effects quality. I do not think they even shot the pilot/first episode yet. I think all this was just shot for the teaser. That roof top scene with Arrow and the Flash was shot after their seasons ended. It proves Oliver puts the suit on again... no surprise!

That was a great trailer, it looks like it'll be a blast.
It is weird that we appear to be getting Firestorm, but there is no mention of Ronnie. Maybe he'll just end up being a voice in Stein's head, like Stein was with him when they first joined together. Is Robbie Amell not available for some reason? It just seems weird to me they would only include half of Firestorm, unless they had no choice.
Do we know who's playing Vandal Savage yet?
I wonder if they will address Sarah's resurrection on Arrow? If the scene of Ollie and Barry talking to the team, or at least a scene like it, is in the premiere then he Ollie will obviously know that she's back.

Wow. So they will be traveling through time. And Sarah was brought back via the Lazarus Pit. (Will Laurel and Quentin and Nyssa learn the good news?) And the Atom finally shrinks!

That they are actually traveling to different time periods is the great surprise. I figured for a tv budget Rip Hunter would just be sending them on missions in the present to change the future. But no, they are going all out time travel adventures!

For a very long time, I've thought that Arthur Darvill would make a fantastic Doctor on Doctor Who someday. Rip Hunter may be the closest we'll ever get to a Darvill Doctor, and already I'm excited. :)
