Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky quits)

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

^ I haven't either but I intend to. Why do people so often assume that everyone is following every thread in the BBS?

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

^ Because in B&R, it was so obvious that the only reason for Batman, Robin and Batgirl to take time out from going to fight Freeze and change outfits was so that the studio could sell more action figures. 'Batman - snow suit'. 'Robin - snow suit.' 'Batgirl - snow suit.'

This isn't at all comparable to Bale's Batman and Lucius Fox discussing quite logical upgrades to his outfit; especially in a series which has spend some time trying to show how Batman and his technology would work in the real world.
Artistic integrity...........and we're arguing the same point.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

I assume that because Duncan Jones directed "Source Code" and we've been talking about "Mute" in that thread. Just seems logical to me to have brought up "Mute" there rather than here since this isn't dominated with Jones discussion. Like I said though I seriously doubt he'll accept any offer from Fox. I like to think that Duncan wants prime control over his projects and it's pretty clear that Fox doesn't want to give up their control over these films.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

^ I get that, but my point is that not everyone will have been aware of the fact that Mute is being discussed in that thread because they may not have seen Source Code and don't want to look at a discussion thread until they have seen it.

Maybe I read too much into the words 'If you'd been following ...'; it came across a little like 'pay attention' but maybe it wasn't intended that way.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

Since I've not seen Set Harth post in any of our discussions before (other than to point out spelling errors that I've made) I was kind of directing my comment just to him, wasn't meaning anyone else.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

I really should have ignored him...couldn't help myself though. Anyone else think that Slade will get the job? Everyone seems to think that "Daredevil" was a consolation prize anyways. The fact that Slade met and discussed the film with Jackman and Fox execs weeks before Aronofsky suddenly entered the fray indicates that he was pretty close to a lock to getting it. It would be funny if they made Jones an offer he couldn't refuse and he accepted it lol.

IMO doing "Wolvie" would be more bankable than rebooting "Daredevil".

^ Agreed, despite the fact that I am interested in this "Daredevil" reboot.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

A Daredevil/Wolverine crossover! Now that'd be epic if they could do it right. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds together in the same movie! The thing is they'd some way to frak it up.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

Wasn't Reynolds already in a movie with Jackman? Oh yeah. It was the first Wolverine.

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

^ Wow that was a bonehead mistake I made. Really indicates how terrible that movie was though in my eyes. I forgot they were in the same damn thing!

Re: Aronofsky's Wolverine film title announced (3/17/11--Aronofsky qui

Fuck it! They might as well cast Reynolds as Daredevil too.

Well, you did say: "They'd find some way to frak it up."
