Aron Eisenberg (Nog) suspended from Facebook over Holocaust photos

Look at it this way: As long as the law protects vile, racist speech, it will also protect speech that any of us might make.

^ That too.

As for Aron: Can those of us who are Tweetsters agree on a hashtag that we can get trending? How about #IStandWithAron or something like that?

Gov Kudos I still can not read any of your posts
From my position all I see is an avatar which looks like yours and Ignored member...that is all I see from you if you quote my posts

rather than shout at a wall which refuses to respond do me a favor and put my account on ignore
I think the ignore button can be found in the top right corner of bbs and under settings
thank you and goodbye

Warning for trolling. Comments to PM

Yeah, Aron posted the picture twice: once when he made his memorial post, and then later when Facebook first pulled it. It's true that they can do whatever they want as they're a private company, but there's nothing to be gained in removing images of our shared human history when they allow such blatant examples of hatred and bigotry.

FB's policies have had me yelling at my computer screen way too often these past few months. It all started when someone blamed the Paris attacks on "the Jews" and I reported that, and FB told me "nah, it's fine". What.

And it's a problem: Some people don't believe anything from the Lügenpresse/liar press, but they trust every internet nonsense within seconds and call that "being critical".

Facebook, google and alike are not food-companies. After 9/11 2001 it took just five hours to find the "the jews all took free" messages on the internet. Facebook has a responsibility.

That is an important point. If I'd only knew what bile is... ;)

google google... Hhhm, a lot of villages and cities in the Ukraine.

What does it mean in english... oh... :D

Facebook hasn't lost any of my respect when "Trump Donald" is suggested as somebody I might know. Sounds legit.

As for the Eisenberg issue, it is eyeroll-inducing when political extremists can post the stupidest, most ignorant and hate-filled things outside of a YouTube video comments section and some people won't say a word about much less report them, but if you post a few black-and-white photos of the Holocaust that you can probably find in almost any college-level textbook you're suddenly an offensive asshole that must be reported and stopped. If Aron had posted tasteless quotes from Donald Trump campaign rallies about Mexicans and Syrian refugees he'd probably have gotten away with it.

All of that said: Facebook can censor what it wants and anything posted by anybody. As stupid and illogical as those censorship acts might seem to most of us, it's their choice. I don't agree with what they did to Aron Eisenberg, but it's a private company.
