Looks like you just beat me to it with an identical thread. Fingers crossed for positive news, but does not sound good. Aron has a lifelong chronic kidney condition that has required several transplants.

Awww. That's awful. I never knew he had any health conditions, mostly because I never bothered to research him, but just to look at him, I've always suspected he had issues. It was always reminiscent to me of how JFK looked. There's a definite pallor to people with those kinds of kidney problems

That's so terrible! He was an incredibly big part of ds9, so excellent. I met him at a con once, he was letting everyone tske pics for free, just hanging out and joking. Very sad news
