I think it's finally time for a black Superman.
Or they can do it Heroes style and have Superman and Zod's big, climactic showdown happen behind a closed door.
I guess that would be cheaper than Smallville style, where the big climatic showdown involves one punch.
I don't get the campaign for Jim Cavizel to get the role. He's a good actor, but he's not classically handsome enough to be Superman, IMO.
He's played Jesus (which is a sort of like a superhero), and has dark hair. Caviezal made more sense during the Superman Returns period. He's 43 now, which, just barely takes him out of the running. But I liked Caviezal back then for the same reason I support Hamm now (who is a spritely 39 btw). Its hard for a young person to fake experience and integrity. I'm 26 and have neither.

^ Looks like he's remaking Superman III there! (Yes, I know it's from Hollywoodland). But more seriously, Affleck was apprently offered the chance to direct this and turned it down.
LOL, awesome pic. Yep he's turned down "Superman" and "Tales of Gang Land" but is considering something called "Replay" right now.
^ Yeah, I read that book Replay years ago. Guy dies aged 43, wakes up aged 18, relives his life until he dies again aged 43 - this keeps happening to him. Decent enough potboiler read but I'm surprised that they're reviving (or replaying) it now.
