"Ark of truth" question

First and last warning, spoiler ahead:

(That should be enough warning)

Ok, Oma in "Threads" basicly stopped Anubis from being able to do anything on our plane of existence because she engaged him on battle, something like as long as she fought him, he wouldn't be able to do anything else. So, when she "takes a break" in AoT to fight Adria, wouldn't that give Anubis an opportunity to start causing havoc in the milky way again? Come to think of it, the same nit comes up seeing she was getting involved in "the pegasus project" and lending a helping hand throughout AoT. Or are we just meant to believe she can fight Adria and Anubis at the same time?

^That's not Oma in The Ark of Truth or "The Pegasus Project". It's Morgan LeFay, a different Ancient.

Yeah, Oma has nothing to do with "The Ark of Truth."

We met Morgan in Season 10 of SG-1 when they did the crossover episode with Atlantis.

Yeah but hes got a point there. The actress look soo similar that even I thought they were the same...Great casting...

I thought the casting of Morgan was great. And I never had a hard time telling them apart. They have completely different accents!

I don't think Sarah Strange looks much like Mel Harris at all.

Plus, RoJoHen is right - Strange has a strangely English accent.

That accent is a put on she was born and raised in Vancouver and if anything has a west coast Canadian accent.

I thought that Morgan le Fay was just another name for Oma, since she (I thought) was using that name in medieval England to halt Merlins' research on the weapon capable of destroying an ascended being?

Point 2, in "the pegasus project" - le Fay addresses Daniel: "You have your answer Daniel Jackson"

So if le Fay and Oma aren't one and the same, that's why I confused them I thought there was only one ancient out there willing to step in and help Daniel from time to time.

Nah, it turns out there were many Ascended Ancients who were willing to bend the rules a bit. They walk the line, and occasionally they are stopped by the others, which is why Morgan was swept away at the end of "The Pegasus Project."

I thought the OP was talking about the woman who would not "compromise the tenants of her devotion" to see it survive. She, to me, has the feel of someone ripe for a lesson in survival of the fittest, flouting common sense until a disaster like Anubis happened.

I have to admit that the whole pacifist bit is lost on me.

Zombie thread!

No, he was clearly getting Oma and Morgan confused.

She, to me, has the feel of someone ripe for a lesson in survival of the fittest, flouting common sense until a disaster like Anubis happened.

Without such beliefs, it may not have been possible for the Ancients to eventually ascend. Yes, the Ori did it later but their evolution might have been just as artificial as Anubis' was.

le Fay was Merlin's (another Ancient) adversary in medieval Earth times. Oma is the one who went around ascending people against The Others' wishes, including Anubis.
