Are you staying unspoiled?

Are you staying unspoiled for the finale? At least, as much as you can be?

I used to love reading the spoiler thread here, but about 3 weeks ago, I stopped. Oh, it beckons me. Calls out my night. It's hard to resist. But I decided I had to stop, especially knowing they were getting ready to film the finale.

Not that the spoilers this season have been especially helpful. They've confused me enough that I had no idea what to make of them. Or, I had forgotten them by the time an episode aired.

For myself, I'm staying out of the spoiler thread here. I don't go anywhere else that there may be spoilers posted. The podcasts I listen to don't spoil anything (other than talking about next week's promo or cast list, and I'm fine with that). And the one other message board that I talk Lost on, they have a very strict 'no spoiler' policy in the episode discussion thread (you're not even allowed to talk about the preview unless you put info behind spoiler tags).

This show is pretty special to me, and I'm content to just let it happen around me. As much as I want those last few hours to just appear on my DVR tomorrow, so I can just watch them in one sitting, I'll just watch every week, and get through it, so I can see how it ends up.

It'll be a tough night, the night of the finale. Being on the west coast, as soon as I know it has started on the east coast, all connections to the outside world will be turned off, lest my east coast friends and family call and spoil it for me, too.

I'm sort of staying unspoiled. There aren't a lot of real finale spoilers out there right now. If the spoilers start coming fast and furious, I'll probably avoid spoilers altogether. But I read all the spoilers for last year's finale and still ended up being surprised by the ending, so I'm not too worried.

Yes, but thanks to someone who insists on friending me on Facebook, it's a bit of a close call.

Unspoiled since the beginning. I'm not going to start now.
Same with me. I don't see the point in watching a show like this if you're going to have it spoiled ahead of time. The only spoilers I've had so far have been when actor's name appear in the credits; seeing Henry Ian Cusick's name in the credits every week made the reveal that Desmond was back far too obvious. The same thing happened with Jin in season 5, and Michael in season 4.

Mostly unspoiled for this show. I haven't been actively avoiding them, but I haven't been looking either. I might have to start avoiding certain threads closer to the finale though.

Trying very hard to stay unspoiled. While following various random links a week or so ago I stumbled across half a spoiler about Ben, but it wasn't too bad and didn't give any more info about how this might all end up than we already know. Thank god. Being extra careful now.

I've been unspoiled for the whole series run! There have been a few aggravating accidents. :klingon: Was spoiled on Shannon's death by some dumb magazine at the supermarket check-out stand! I think I knew in advance that the character played by William Mapother was a secret bad guy, can't recall how. Other than that, I've known about minor things like Boone and Michael re-appearing this season but considering that they could be anything from flashbacks to delusions to ghosts, that's not much of a spoiler.

I avoid most spoilers, especially any major ones all 6 seasons, though I do like to know the centricity of the episodes so I generally know about those and occasionally who might be making a guest appearance. That's about it though, I never intentionally seek out any significant story spoilers though a couple times I've accidentally run into a few.

I'm trying to stay relatively unspoiled for the finale. I may have to start telling people foilers for the finale, though. That'd be fun.

I've avoided spoilers for the entire show run. Actually, it's not that hard to avoid spoilers for this show, I just stay out of the spoiler thread. I don't go to any other sites having to do with Lost and the only podcast for it that I listen to is the official one.

I avoid spoilers for any movie/tv show/book, because the whole fun, for me, is the surprise reveal. I thank goodness I wasn't spoiled on The Sixth Sense before I watched it, that was an awesome ending, and one of the few times I wasn't able to guess something before it happened. Usually it is pretty easy to stay spoiler free for things.

Harry Potter was difficult, as I read much slower than everyone around me and it took me about a month to finish the books...meaning I cut myself off from the internet besides email and tv besides shows that I knew would not mention it. I also avoided public spaces as much as possible, and if I heard anyone say Harry Potter I would start singing to myself so I couldn't hear. It was tough, but I was never spoiled on anything!

Anyway, Lost would suck if I read spoilers. It would still be a good show, but not as...thrilling each week.

I am doing my best to stay unspoiled this final season. It just makes it so much more fun that way.

I take the spoilers right outa their hands!

Which hasn't been easy lately. Which is a good thing. I'm actually not looking for anything anymore and the spoiler thread has been bereft of real spoilers lately so that helps...

Actually, I am focusing on the LOST podcast, TV show and of course the trekbbs episode threads exclusively to get the high-level spoilers (names of eps etc.) but stay spoiler-free on all the details.

See, that's my problem. I've always hung out in the spoiler thread. So, to avoid it now...aaaahhhh! :)

I was very interested in any info I could get a hold of, for a long time. Ironically, I never really got much, & that was ok with me. However, a couple weeks ago, I saw some really juicy spoilers, just because I couldn't resist, & though it hasn't ruined the experience for me, it did spoil a few things & now I'm done.

I'm not even planning to watch any of the ABC.com previews anymore. Now is not the time for spoilers. Now is the time to just sit back & enjoy what remains, & I still can, because apart for a little thing or two, I still really have no idea how this all will end

So Yay!

I do read some spoilers, but because of the very nature of the weirdness that happens on LOST it's hard to put the spoilers into context with the show.

It's like watching a film trailer & all they give you is snippets from RANDOM scenes tossed at you, how do they fit into the film overall, how can you know ?

Because LOST is LOST, it's hard to figure out what goes where, the flashes sideways add to the confusion as what bits get tossed as spoilers at us could be from there and not the normal Island 'verse at all.

YMMV
