Are you excited about the Harry Potter release this weekend?

I haven't been this excited [OK I'll admit it] to see a film since Star Trek XI came out. I cannot wait to see the Potter film - on an IMAX screen - this coming weekend.

Are you stoked to see the Potter film? Why, why not?

I was at first a reluctant fan of the Potter book/films. But as the series [both books and films] matured and the stories became more dark and complex I've become a real fan.

You excited to see this film?

No. i know this makes me a freak of nature, but i just couldn't get into HP. I tried reading the books, saw some movies with my daughter but really couldn't get into it.

I'll go hide now.

I am so fucking pumped for this movie! I just marathoned all the previous movies this past weekend. My mom and sister are driving 3 hours to visit me just so we can all go see it opening night.

The last time I was excited about a movie was SW: Ep 1 and we all know how that ended.

I haven't seen a movie on release weekend since Return of the King.

I haven't even tried. Might start catching up with the movies, though.

Meh. I read the first book and have seen all the movies; I like them. They have a lot of charm, but.............. I thought the last one was a bit dull and dragged a bit. I'll see the finale and finish the series off, but it's just a bit of harmless distraction---nothing more.

I was - sort of - excited about the release of the final book. I openly admit to having read and enjoyed my mom's old Malory Towers books by Enid Blyton when I was in grade school, so I guess that must have left me with kind of a thing for boarding school novels ;)

While I acknowledge that the movies are reasonably well made, they're not necessarily something for me to get excited over. Also, I already know how the story ends :p

Not really. I've only read the first two books...I thought they were okay, but there was nothing about them that made me feel the need to keep reading. As for the movies, I've seen them all except for Part 7, Part 1...I'm kinda' "meh" about those, as well. I probably won't see it.

Kind of yeah. My girlfriend started me watching the Harry Potter films and I must say I really enjoyed them. There fun stories with very good production values. The only thing is were a little behind on them. We just completed four, We're going to watch five separately and then try and hit six and 7A in rapid succession because she really wants to see the last one in the theaters.

Bought my tickets last week for the midnight screening. Been looking forward to thins for quite some time.

I like Harry Potter very much...but it's kind of gotten a bit drawn out now. So not only am I not 'excited' about this movie - I haven't even seen the last one yet.

I will, eventually - I enjoy the HP universe and plan to see all the films.

But I guess I'm a bit burnt out on it right now.

No, don't worry! I not only don't care about HP, I have never even read the novels nor seen the films. So I am more freakish! ;)

I'm pretty excited about it. Hope to see the movie within the first week of release, although that all depends on how it fits into our schedule. I don't like seeing movies in sold-out theaters, I'd much rather wait a bit than fight over seats and shush people.

I didn't see the last movie and I'm not interested in this one either. But I have enjoyed the other movies and the majority of the books.
