I prefer to think that Shockwave was the only one awake on Cybertron, acting as guardian to wake everything up if there was an emergency. And either he wasn't a big enough dick to just go around shooting Autobots while they were asleep, or for some reason he couldn't. (Like, they were locked away from him, or, he couldn't leave the control area.) And even when the Transformers that ended up stranded on Earth used the spacebridge to get to Cybertron and back, didn't you think it was odd how very, very little seemed to be going on? More than just Shockwave had woke up at that point, but the planet still seemed to be in "low light" mode or something. We are cherry picking from a lot of non compatible lore.
The Autobots on Earth might have been sleeping, but in the 80s cartoon, Shockwave had been waiting loyally for Megatron's return for 4 million years.
I liked Shockwaves loyalty.
Shockwave was very loyal to Megatron but so was Soundwave.
I think Soundwave was "born" an Autobot (consumer line) but switched at some point to be a Decepticon. He's extraordinarily similar to Blaster. And, he was loyal to Megatron, not the position - he and his tapes carried the torn-up Megatron off of the battlefield in the animated movie, when all of the 'cons were in a hurry to split and there was no possible motive other than loyalty to Megatron. Personal loyalty.
You don't get a vote. You're Wheelie. No takebacks. Now go sit in the corner, Wheelie, you Transformers hater you.Which option is best for the puppies? I'm a single-issue voter when it comes to this particular issue.
