Are you a Star Trek fan?

Where I work, the other people who consider themselves Star Trek fans mean TNG fans, apart from one DS9/VOY fan.

Personally, I prefer to be called a Star Trek fan rather than a Trekkie/Trekker.

Oh, it was. And that's how we call ourselves – but this doesn't mean we're not fans of the other series.

If watching virtually all of Star Trek (including some of TAS tho I can't recall any of it now) makes you a fan, I am definitely a fan.

That does not imply however that I approve of it all.

That is because, as far as I know, I was the one who coined the term Trekkist.

So far as recent history, perhaps, but I remember a TV Guide article from the 70s in which the Trekkie/Trekker was being discussed and in a follow-up letter column, someone wrote something like, "whether they prefer Trekkie or Trekker, I think we can agree that they are all Trekkists".

BTW, yes and I'm especially liking most of what is going on in Trek Lit these days.
