Are we being assimilated?

That's been said in one way or another since the beginning of the industrial revolution, it wasn't true then and certainly not true now.

Maybe so but that's just my opinion..

What about the cultish nature of things like Apple and iphone launches?

Just seems from an outsider a bit odd people go this nuts about a phone.

Aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww gotta admit that is kinda cute.

Not dangers but we're becoming too reliant on technology to a degree.
1. What, in your opinion, is "too" reliant? Where do you draw the line? What technology is okay -- Landline phones? Radio? Cars? Fabric weaving?
2. Take a moment and think about the implications of your statement when you've directed it to a person whose life is literally reliant on modern technology.
Also it's kind of cultish. Like the recent iphone launch. Thousands of people sitting to watch a phone being launched. You have to be seriously kidding me .
Millions lined up to sit and wait for the Harry Potter book releases. That crazy cult of printing-press technology. You have to be seriously kidding me.

Billions devote hours a day to consuming fruits, vegetables, and farm raised animals. That crazy cult of agricultural technology. You have to be seriously kidding me.

BTW, my iPhone works directly with my insulin pump and CGM to help me maintain control of my Blood Glucose levels, thereby giving me a chance of living a normal lifespan...something that would have been unlikely 25 years ago, nearly impossible 75 years ago, and literally impossible 90 years ago.

You can bet I was interested in the iPhone 7 launch.

I think the cultish aspect of the Apple phone launches can also be applied to Harry Potter and stuff. Totally agree. I just don't get it though. I buy what appeals to me not what everyone thinks is cool or trendy around me.

As long as you don't text while you drive. People who do that should spend decades in prison.

I hope the Point at least caused a refreshing breeze when it flew over your head.

Congratulations, snowflake, your as original as pretty much every college freshman in the history of humanity.
