Spoilers Are they going to re-cast Archer?

Trip, Yar, Jadzia, Carey and David Marcus will fomr the new core of the show

Actually they might also go all "Quantum Leap" on us Use the spore drive as a time travel chamber.. Theorizing that one could time travel in one's own universe Lt Micheal Burnham stepped inside the Spore Drive and vanished. She woke to find herself exploring the past, facing starfleet uniforms that weren't like her own and driven by a known force to make history better.. Her only guide on this journey is TIlly, a a observer from her own timeline who appears in a red angel outfit that only Micheal can see and hear through sub dermal communicators, so Lt Burnham travels from time to time striving to put right what has now gone wrong and hoping each time the next time jump will be to her mom's home.

Leslie is an immortal.
I just realized.. Leslie died and came back to life, right? And he's not the captain or first officer or anything but he's always showing up in the story for no reason, right? And he kind of does whatever the hell he wants on the ship-- he's an engineer one week, helping out in sickbay the next, helmsman if he feels like it.

Lt. Leslie is the Enterprise's Michael Burnham.

Actually Leslie is from a planet of clones. Everyone there is Leslie.

That said, Tuvok's father was an officer onboard a starship (USS Yorktown) in 2293. It's unlikely that he had been a full Admiral 37 years prior to that. So, if Terral is related, he'd best be a grandfather.
Terral could have been pulling a Cornwell, hiding out on the ship to the point no one remembers he's even there, even in dangerous situations when flag officers should be involved.

Stockwell played a prison commandant on Enterprise, an enemy of the Suliban who held Suliban captive.

If he's Future Guy, those are some serious mind games.

I'm sure they'll be able to write around that. Alternatively, I'd be okay if Future Guy was Archer, but Archer was played by Jeffrey Combs

Thinking about it, what if Future Guy turns out to be Gabriel Lorca? So when Lorca got stabbed by Georgiou, his body got dumped into the mycelial reactor core. That looks like he died, but to me that looks more like he "died". If the mycelial network can heal a broken neck then it can heal getting run through. Technically, he could pull a Culber, be trapped in the mushroom network for a while, and then somehow get dumped into the 28th century.

That, or it's Neelix.

It's also possible that the EMH,Odo maybe Data if you except comics or what might be established in the Picard show as also being alive in this distant future. Also maybe the Dax symbiot but even with long lives we are talking about organic life so even they got to die someday.

Oh, so Future Guy's posse would be: Phlox, Saru, Data, Odo, Sisko, a Dax, Bashir (genetically engineered), the Doctor, and Neelix.

Data, Odo, Sisko, Bashir, the Doctor, a Dax, and of course maybe Jonathan Archer could be Future Guy himself.

Don't forget their is a whole many of Doctor's since they use to be the main EMH used. Not to mention the one that was in that "Voyager" episode were he was in a future museum exhibit on a alien planet. Also echo Picard and Kirk are still in the Nexus. Wesley might be alive if I understand what it means to explore different plain of existence. Also Guinan race has very long lives. Worf spent time at Borath so maybe he spent some time with the time crystals and had a adventure into the future. Seven of Nine,Janeway,Choctay,Torres and Tuvox all spent time as Borg in the season 7 opener and more with Seven and Borg download and record everyones memories so they might be out their in new cloned bodies.

No "Fanboy" but I like ENT and if you don't think that season 4 of ENT was just chock full of epic Trek stories then you are just blinded by your hate.

The Augment/Klingon Arc
The Vulcan Arc
The Terra Prime Arc
All great stories.
TATV is where I am blinded by hate.

Bringing back Bakula as Archer playing "Future Guy" would be an awesome move. Having him as an 80 year old President of the Federation while simultaneously being a Temporal Agent/Future Guy behind the scenes would be a fantastic twist.

Edit: Forgot to add In a Mirror Darkly I&II

I really doubt they are going to go that deep with a reference to Enterprise. I love ENT, but I doubt the show runners are going to go that far out on a limb to involve important plot threads that stretch back to what is considered a failed show by many.

If they would’ve recast the original Archer in ENT originally, I probably would’ve liked it more. I couldn’t take Bakula seriously, he never had a commanding presence, and just seemed to be wanting everyone’s approval all the time. And that dog.

If Future Guy pops in for a few minutes, makes a very confusing and pointless series of observations on the differences between gazelles and human beings and then leaves everyone so profoundly nonplussed they agree to just stop fighting about whatever it was all about, I'd be ok with that.
