Archie Comics' Sexual Harassment Scandal

Hipsters generally have an inability to grasp concepts-- they have a tendency to think that only Whites can be bigots, only men can be chauvinistic, et cetera.

Oh, I see the problem now.

I had assumed that you were incorrectly referring to a real group of people rather than just spouting out inane nonsense relevant only to your own warped view of the world.

But, take heart at Data's post below. I can't say that you're in good company, but you're not alone. So, at least there's that.

I thought that was called "liberals" or "democrats". Hipsters are over stylized youth who live in starbucks writing their blogs, twitter & Facebook posts, etc.

You obviously have first hand experience, because I'm not even sure if hipsters are "real" considering the extremities of the profiling provided by popular media...
It has become a pretty generic term.

Democrats, maybe, definitely not liberals.

Ok, here is the A/V and A/B storylines I was talking about. And it looks like I misremembered a bit - Veronica's not so bad after all, in either reality. ;)

They turned this into a running series - Life with Archie - a few years ago.

Guess I'm the only one readin' it...

^ No.

Although, in the universe where Archie marries Betty, Reggie and Veronica get together and eventually marry.

It's the reverse in the uni where Arch marries Ronnie, so either way Reg gets one of them.

Well that's Reggie the stud coming through, I was more interested in Reggie the jerk raising Cain.

Nah, everybody's too grown up for that shit, including Reggie. In the A&B universe he's running his dad's newspaper.

Well, not all self identified liberals are actually liberal. Keep that in mind.

Very few of them are. Despite popular opinion, Left Wing and liberal are two entirely different things.

Did anyone else think this thread was going to be about a sexual harassment storyline in Archie Comics?

Indeed. They sort of idealize the vision of the future presented by the movie Demolition Man.
I'm not familiar with that movie. I'll have to research it to see if I agree.

It is actually a great movie. I tend to think of it as the liberal opposit to Robocop in the way they satirize the left's "vision" for the future of society the way Robocop does it for the "right's".

I'd love to see an Archie Comics adaptation to the movie RED State, with Kevin Smiths characters replaced with the ones from Archie...

Well, maybe they can do a crossover where Demolition Man and Robocop kill each other, and everybody lives happily ever after. :rommie:
