Appropriate Names for Occupations

Just saw an old friend of mine today and she said her mother was in the hospital for abdominal surgery. The surgeon's name?

Dr. Gutman.

I kid you not.

We've all heard of dentists named Dr. Gumm or Dr. Paine.

Do you know of any actual names that match their profession is some way? It doesn't just have to be doctors, it can be any line of work.

I know two such individuals, both through my mother. A high school friend of hers is a bank teller named Penny Nickles. Another of her high school friends has the unfortunate name, Justin Case -- he's a lawyer.

My Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon was named Dr. Slaughter.

I also loved when the guy who ran, and won, the race for Mayor in Austin was named Will Wyn.

There's a professor that works at hubby's university who--I swear it--looks just like Fozzie the Bear. He has the curly hair and bow tie, big nose, and annoying voice. His name? Professor Fazi.

I did hate my name for the longest time till I developed a kind of art to it me being an artist my stuff will be new and bold by the artist bill/Will Newbold still this got boring so it became W. Newbold when I was doubling my work output but then I thought of others and what could they do but B. Newbold as well then it got weird cause depending on the way I breakup my last name New-Bold or New B Old, then there was nothing left but old shoes to boot the name with but in the end I am always sent the Bill er that is me Bill, Bill Newbold

my friends father was a farmer they probably had ducks too. - Mr. Quackenbush his daughter (the farmers daughter) enough said ., good topic .,

This is more inappropriate, I guess, but I used to work with a doctor named Dr Shakr. :rommie:

I don't know how many people here watch "The First 48," but often when the shows goes to a case in Memphis there is an appearance by one of the local police detectives there. Her name: Sergeant Connie Justice. For a cop, I don't think it's possible to have a more bad-ass name than that.
