"Apollo 18" film for March 2011

I am curious to see how they manage to secretly launch a Saturn V rocket.

Same thought crossed my mind. How was this a "forgotten mission?" Did the people not count the number of rockets launched and compared that with how many came back/how many NASA claimed to launch?

Didn't Apollo 18 actually happen? People call it Skylab.
The closest those astronauts got to the moon was howling at it, but still ... ;)

Am I the only one that thinks this movie sounds awesome?

Because, for the record, I think this movie sounds TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

Seems as though this movie is based on a conspiracy theory regarding a supposed Apollo 20 mission sent to investigate a giant spaceship Apollo 15 photographed on the dark side of the Moon.

Personally, I'd never heard of this CT before doing some Googling on the subject, but it's certainly a juicy one if you like that sort of thing!

Here's one of the Apollo 15 images that apparently show the 'alien' craft. It's meant to be about 4km long and 500m high:

Original website the photo came from:

http://www.lpi.usra.edu/resources/apollo/frame/?AS15-P-9625

Website that tells you all about the Apollo 20 mission, if it ever happened:

http://www.angelismarriti.it/ANGELISMARRITI-ENG/home-ENG.htm

The site has heaps of photos, videos, and interviews with people involved in the mission, including one of the supposed astronauts.

Anyway, it's very interesting as far as conspiracy theories go, so if you've got a few hours to waste, then this is the site to waste them on! ;-)

So that's where the SeaQuest ended up?

Ahh, I knew I'd seen it somewhere before! LOL!

Anyway, the mission supposedly landed and collected numerous artifacts from the ship, and even found and took back to Earth a dead alien! I think they had a Lunar Rover for the mission too!

Fun stuff, huh? ;-)

I am not a conspiracy theorist...but why we don't have a base on the Moon & haven't been back in like forever...is BS.

Money and a lack of interest on the part of governments!

Don't forget they landed 6 times, so I guess that satisfied the powers that be!

But it doesn't...there is much to be gained by having a colony on the Moon. Money is the big issue...lack of interest...I don't think so.

Lack of interest on the part of the politicians! ;-)

I think it's safe to say that a large part of the public, especially scientists, would definitely like to see a manned return to the Moon!
